We were visiting the Charleston area. Unfortunately we had a clothing issue that required immediate attention of a dry cleaner. Prestige came to the rescue and saved our vacation!! I would definitely recommend Charleston Prestige Cleaners!! The staff is commended for its customer service.

We came to town for a New years Celebration. We called and asked if we could drop off my Tuxedo two days before the event. They accommodated my request without any hesitation. In fact the tuxedo was dry cleaned in less than 36 hours. They are friendly and great people to meet and talk to. I highly recommend them for any of your dry cleaning services. Easy location also.

I am so pleased with Charleston Prestige Cleaners. They cleaned a vintage corduroy smoking jacket tailored for my father in 1952. They did an absolute amazing job. I love wearing it to special events. The place is adorable and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They are the best in town!

I have waited six months for the owner to return my calls and answer my questions. Since that has never materialized, I will post my experience so others can be beware. I dropped off a dress to be cleaned and asked the price. Told it would be $20.00. It was an Oscar de la Renta dress that I had bought on sale years before for $150. When I picked it up the charge was $210! I thought it was a typo but they had already charged my card on file. Incredibly rude counter woman told me it was because it was couture. It was not couture - it was a day dress from their bridge line and they were charging me more to clean it than I had paid for it. No one ever called to tell me the price change ahead of time. When I asked to speak to manager or owner I was told they were off property and unavailable. I asked for a phone number or email. Denied. A friend of mine whom I told about this called me a few days later to tell me she was in to pick up cleaning and there was a woman there picking up a bridal gown and it was only $250! As you can see from my pictures, my dress was no bridal gown!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this business for over five years, consistently bringing in large orders—sometimes 20+ items every few weeks—despite the premium pricing. While I was initially willing to pay for the convenience and the promise of high-quality service, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. Over the past several months, I’ve encountered numerous issues with damaged items, including marked or stained silk garments, faulty stitching, and a noticeably altered (and expensive) pair of Zimmerman shorts. The total value of the affected items is over $3,000. I compiled a detailed booklet with photos, item descriptions, and pricing to present my concerns clearly. Despite multiple in-person visits, follow-up calls, and over 3 months of back-and-forth communication, there has been no meaningful resolution. The owner, Brian, has repeatedly deflected responsibility and made excuses rather than addressing the issue directly or offering any form of compensation or repair. It’s disappointing that a business charging $100+ for cleaning a single dress or jacket would show such disregard for long-time, high-volume customers. Unfortunately, this level of customer service does not reflect the professionalism one should expect from a premium cleaner. I can no longer recommend this establishment. If you’re looking for quality care and respectful service, East Bay Cleaners just down the street has been both affordable and a pleasure to work with.
