CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel

The thermal pools is the perfect relaxing day! The massage was just okay but a super relaxing experience. The sanctuary area allows no devices and is completely silence so it was a great escape. I love that you don’t need to bring anything except a swim suit, theWe did not stay at the hotel, but the ambiance is great. The parking situation is not great. The customer service is great, we forgot a swim suit so they moved our thermal time to after our massage instead of before so we could have time to go get it. Trying to find parking in random neighborhoods kinda sucks. Massage 3/5 Thermal pools experience 5/5

Wonderful experience. Beautiful, tranquil, clean. The pool area in conservatory was open daylight vibe. Sanctuary had great options for circuit experience. We loved it. Guests were courteous. Staff were ever present to keep hydration and clean and clear areas. Glad we came for a day pass

My stay at Cascada truly exceeded my expectations — not because everything was perfect or wrapped in butterflies and flowers, but because when things didn’t go exactly as planned, the staff handled every situation with grace, professionalism, and genuine care. They addressed challenges in a way one would expect from a high-end hotel. One gentleman in particular, Steward, stood out for his exceptional attention to the full customer experience. He was completely on top of his game — attentive, thoughtful, and deeply committed to ensuring I felt valued. Overall, the hotel has a beautifully earthy and grounded vibe. The artsy yet natural design, the carefully curated music, the atmosphere in the rooms, and the way every single staff member interacts with guests create a truly one-of-a-kind experience. The gym is outstanding — honestly one of the best I’ve encountered in hotels around the world. And the spa experience is beyond words. I booked a three-hour session somewhat skeptically, thinking I might not use the full time, as I’m not typically a “spa person.” To my surprise, I didn’t want to leave. There was a sense of harmony and atmosphere that felt almost magical. Starting at 4 p.m. and finishing at 7 p.m. allowed me to experience the transition from daylight into evening, which made it even more special. In the end, Cascada offers something truly rare — not merely comfort, but an experience that stays with you.

I was underwhelmed for the price. I expected it to be higher end, nicer touches, and better run for a $100 3-hour pass. I tried to relax but was always reflecting in my mind- is this worth more than $.50 a minute? The facilities are nice. The basement sanctuary was sort of odd for me. It was moody but I also love sunlight and Portland already feels like a basement with no light 6 months out of the year. I don’t understand the appeal of no light? The atrium area was beautiful but kept entirely too cold both in air temp and pool temp to enjoy. No robes for use? No bath products like a scrub or an aromatherapy blend to enjoy post spa? I was just surprised at the lack of finish. This place is close and I see what they’re trying to do, but it’s charging high end prices and giving mid-range amenities at best. The overall effect is that you know you’re getting tricked into believing it’s really worth it and it’s like no one wants to say it as it’s the “fanciest” we have here in Portland.

Decided last minute to try to go to the thermal springs for my birthday at Cascada. They only had 1 time spot available online, but Sara at the front desk was so nice and helpful and she offered to get my friend in with me because it was my birthday. They also gave us free robes to use. We had the most relaxing time! It’s beautiful, light, clean, and didn’t feel too crowded even though they were sold out for the day. I will definitely be going back. Afterwards we swung by Terra Mae for a quick celebratory drink. Cocktails were fantastic as always. Thank you Sara! You’re the best! You made me feel so special on my bday. 🥰
