Great experience with the team at Capitol Improvements in replacing the balcony door in our condo. We had a somewhat unusual situation, requiring the installation of a custom door, but the end result fit perfectly and was almost identical to the previous door. Jason, Seth, Ivan, and the rest of the team were hard working, flexible, communicative, helpful, and honest. Would definitely recommend for any home project.

Capital Improvements did an outstanding job in our backyard. Started with demolishing the old area, building a retaining wall, building a new deck for that area, crating a patio area with beautiful stones, a grass area and creating a new entrance to the house from the deck with a beautiful sliding door. We worked with 2 different teams: one team for the backyard work and another team for the door. John, Melissa, Jason, Seth and their teams did an absolutely fantastic job from the planning stage and all the way through the execution. They were very responsive and helpful through the process, the teams worked very professionally and cleanly. The results are amazing and we get lots of compliments from neighbors and friends!

Capital Improvements (Sliding Door Installation) Capital Improvements offers a range of home improvement services, each managed by specialized project managers. I initially contacted the owner, Pat, for a quote on a different project, but ultimately decided to hire them for two different projects: a deck and a sliding door installation. Jason, the project manager for door installations, met with me to discuss various door options and outline the installation process. My ProVia Endure 2-Lite Patio Door with Internal Blinds was installed by Ivan and another team member. Before the installation, I had some reservations due to a negative review from another customer regarding their door installation, and there were also a few issues with the earlier deck project. While the deck and door installations are handled by separate teams, these concerns initially left me with a less-than-ideal first impression of the company. However, I'm pleased to say that the door installation itself went flawlessly. I believe I had a different installer than the customer who posted the negative review. Ivan, my installer, was highly knowledgeable and experienced, and it was clear he took pride in the quality of his work. The entire process was completed in a single day, and I'm very satisfied with the results. After the project was finished, Jason followed up to check on the installation. I wasn't expecting a follow-up after the project was completed, but I appreciated it. Please Note: This review pertains solely to the door installation service provided by Capital Improvements. I may or may not return to update my review and rating for the deck installation at a later time.

Capitol Improvements did a wonderful job on our new deck! They demolished our old one and built this one in less than a week. They were very detail-oriented and made sure that every step of the process was done well. We will definitely use them again for future projects!

This is our second time working with Capital Improvements. They did our roof in 2020 and this time they did our deck. Sadly I don't have the before pictures. I can't speak highly enough about this company and the owner Pat. The work they do is always top notch and high quality. Communication is great. Our deck was completed in 4 days from tearing down our old wood one to building the new one with the weather treated material. Sorry I don't know the name of the material but what I do know is that it looks beautiful. We’ve received so many compliments. We will most definitely hire them for the next project.
