I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so that this center can hopefully improve and other families know what to expect. Unfortunately, my daughter’s time here was not a positive one. While many of the teachers were kind and trying their best, the real issue is the management and lack of support for staff. The center is extremely understaffed, to the point where the director was often in a classroom instead of focusing on leadership and communication. Because teachers are overworked, important things are overlooked and in childcare, those “small things” can be very big for young children. From our first day, there was confusion, the director hadn’t even told the teacher we were starting. Communication was consistently disorganized, and I often found out about issues with my child only at pickup, or not at all. For example, my daughter once soiled through her clothes because she was left in another classroom without her things. Another time, she came home covered in ant bites, even in her diaper area and no one said a word about it. There is simply no way that level of discomfort could have gone unnoticed if staff were paying close attention. The facility itself is not well maintained. The playground was overrun with ants (the exterminator later confirmed it needed multiple treatments), the inside and outside entrances looked neglected, and even after a “staff development day,” décor was put up over clutter instead of being cleaned. On top of that, illnesses like hand, foot, and mouth were frequent, and parents weren’t informed until after their children were already exposed. What’s most concerning is that all of these issues happened within just a week and a half of my daughter being enrolled. In our exit meeting, the director brushed off my concerns, implying I just had “different expectations” of what daycare should look like. But having experienced other centers both before and after this one, I can confidently say: daycare does not have to look like this. My daughter’s current school is proof. She now walks in happy, leaves happy, and is cared for in a clean, safe, and supportive environment. That’s what every child deserves. I hope this review encourages leadership at this center to prioritize staffing, communication, and safety, because children should feel secure and cared for, and parents should feel peace of mind, not anxiety, when dropping them off

Our son went to Cadence from the age of 4 months until he was 23 months old. At the beginning, it was a bit of adjustment due to understaffing, yet that was not the fault of the director/assistant director. The staff all cared for our son like he was their own. I could not be more thankful for the time he had there and encourage families to decide for themselves if the school is for them vs just reading reviews. We were so sad to leave, due to a move, but the teachers are amazing, and Miss Misty is an amazing director!

Going with one star because you can’t do less and leave a review. Our daughter attended Cadence for 5 months and we had countless bad experiences. We picked her up one day and she was laying on a mat with spit up drenching the side of her face and the teacher in the next room. No telling how long she had been laying there. She came up multiple times with other children’s diapers, sized too small and way too tight around her legs. My final straw was getting a late notice on the day care having a hand, foot and mouth outbreak, which I understand can be hard to monitor. And when I had to miss work and not get paid, I was notified I would still be charged for the week we didn’t bring her. Even though daycare was the only reason I was in that predicament. I will say, Miss Ivette, the teacher for our daughter’s class was great and if I had the money, I would’ve paid her whatever she made there to watch my daughter exclusively. She is the only saving grace of that entire place. If you absolutely have to have a daycare, I guess this place will do, otherwise, I suggest finding any other place.

I have had 2 of my daughters in this school, and they both enjoyed their time. My younger one changed 2 classrooms while she attended (because she got older) and the transitions were seamless because the teachers were consistently loving and attentive. My older one STILL talks about her teacher Ms. Heather fondly and misses her. I was so impressed by this because they are NOT ones to take easily to "strangers." Cadence has been a blessing to our family and I'm grateful we got the chance to experience them.

My son started attending about a month ago. He has severe reflux and I was so worried about leaving him. The ladies at cadence academy know exactly how to handle his reflux and take care of him. That make my momma anxiety so much better! I couldn’t ask for a better place for my son to go to. He also LOVES the ladies in his room. He’s always smiling when I drop him off and pick him up. I highly recommend this preschool for anyone looking for a safe and reliable place to care for your children!
