Bright Start Early Care and Preschool (Kennedy)

I highly recommend Brightstart to any parent looking at daycare options in the Petworth/Brightwood Park area. Outside of its incredible staff and facility, the fact that families don't need to provide daily/weekly items such as milk, sheets, diapers, and food, etc. really set Brightstart apart for us. We had daily interactions with our daughter's teachers, who helped coach our daughter (and us) through so many transitions. The teachers were also great at posting daily pictures and coming up with creative activities to make each day a little different, but still adhering to a routine (e.g. learning to play soccer, group music classes). We also loved the amount of time that our daughter spent outside in their covered and fenced playground.

We are very grateful my daughter to come everyday and have a lot off growing her skills great teachers and bright start members. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

We moved to DC earlier this year, and we are so happy we found Bright Start - Kennedy! The entire staff is absolutely wonderful! They truly care for the children as if they are their own. I want to specifically thank Miss Ileana—you are a blessing to all of the children that you care for. You helped this mama with so much in just a few months and for that I will always be grateful. To Miss Gabi—your positive demeanor and encouragement has such a lasting and profound impact on the kids. And to Miss Capers—your ability to connect with kids is truly a gift. I highly recommend Bright Start!! They care deeply, the center is clean and well maintained, and they offer the perfect place for your little ones to develop an early love of learning! We’ve had a wonderful experience with Bright Start Daycare. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about the children. They offer a diverse range of activities that keep my daughter engaged and learning. One of the highlights is their balanced menu, which ensures she gets nutritious meals every day. I also really appreciate the amount of outside time she gets. I highly recommend Bright Start to any parent looking for a nurturing and stimulating environment for their child.

Our daughter is thriving at Bright Start. She loves her teachers and is excited to go each morning. I love that she gets a wide variety of healthy, nutritious foods each day that are freshly prepared onsite. I know she's kept safe and feels loved by her teachers and all of the Bright Start staff. They have really thought of everything I could possibly want from a childcare center - from serving healthy, fresh meals to providing diapers, lots of outside play time, music, and fun, engaging lesson plans - all in a warm, family environment. I highly recommend Bright Start to other DC families!
