These guys (Dan & Fred) really went far & above in ensuring my household goods were carefully wrapped and packed & that the new house was protected to avoid any possible damage. The efficiency and quality of work they do in packing is unmatched. Dan was very knowledgeable and efficient during the estimate done in person. He was on the dot in the weight estimate too. A TRUE EXPERT! I have made friends with DAN & FRED for life. Forever grateful to have been recommended to World Wide Movers, Inc Alaska for having such great professionals in my team. Always ask for Dan & Fred!! Analia- :)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Absolute worst experience of any move we have ever move. Here is the short version of our experience: We hired World Wide Movers to move us from Oregon back to Alaska in August 2021. First problem, they called two days prior to our scheduled packing date and said they couldn't move us. We were rescheduled for a day later. Then the packers showed up 5 hours late due to not inputting the correct city in their gps. Next, we were quoted a two to three week moving time frame. Six weeks later, we still had not heard from them. Called and was told our belongings were in Anchorage; they didn't say for how long. I had to call back two more times before being given a delivery date. Then we were required to pay 100% charges before they would deliver to our house. (All other moving companies have done 50% before and 50% after delivery.) Items were delivered to our house. None of our furniture items were wrapped or covered. All of our furniture items they transported were damaged. Additionally five boxes of household belongings, including an entire kitchen pack box, two brand new nightstands in flat packs, and a large brand new mirror, were lost by the movers. The only thing World Wide Movers did was to send a cleaning service out to attempt to clean the dark stains out of the sofa and ottoman. The cleaning service advised us that the damage was from water and would not come out of the dry-clean only fabric. Our leather chairs are punctured and scratched. Our wood table and stools have multiple scratches, and our very expensive wood bed has gouges and scratches on the headboard. I spent two days completing and filing claims forms, sending photos and other documentation. They have not contacted us since then. It is now mid-December 2021. I filed a transaction dispute with my Visa company at this point, as I do not believe World Wide Movers will do anything further.

I hired World Wide Movers to move my already packed belongings across town. The office was very responsive to my inquiries and communications. The pricing they gave me was consistent with the quotes I received from other local movers. The movers arrived at the expected time, they had a positive and friendly demeanor, they completed the work much faster than I would have thought possible (my new home is 3 stories with almost all the furnitureon the top floor), and they were very careful with my belongings and residences. My experience was very positive and I would recommend to anyone doing a local move (I do not feel I can speak to a long distance move).

Contacted World Wide Movers for a two part job at my house. Initial quote of $250 evolved to over $1000 without any explanation beforehand due to poor communication between several employees. In between the time I received the first estimate and the subsequent estimate, I was told I had to do some prep work at my home for the second part of the job. I paid a contractor to do that the same day. When the estimate increased for part two, I opted not to use this company. The next day, while the movers were doing part one, they told me they wouldn't have been able to do part two anyway without additional equipment that would have cost upward of $2500. I contracted another company who completed part two just fine without any additional equipment. I even contacted World Wide Mover management with a formal letter of complaint afterward. They didn't seem to care and made no effort to offset costs I incurred to prepare for them to do the job after receiving the initial estimate. This company is not easy to work with and made no customer satisfaction efforts. I do not recommend them.

My contract to move to Anchorage was with the Mayflower Company and it covered the entire shipping to my home. I did not know that Mayflower uses subcontractors. When I moved to Anchorage, I was told to contact World Wide Movers. My belongings probably arrived in Anchorage before I arrived. Worldwide Movers refused to deliver my items after my repeated requests by telephone. World Wide Movers then told me that I would have to pay extra money to get my things delivered from their warehouse to my apartment. In the meantime, they simply held onto my belongings. I consider that theft and a break of contract. I felt my only option was to hire a lawyer, but I made one last phone call to the company--this at least a month after my move. As I stood in my office making the phone call, I saw through my office window that I was speaking to a World Wide Movers representative on his cellphone, who saw me looking at him. World Wide Movers had been contracted by my new employer to move our organization (which was a big job for them). When that person realized that I worked for one of their big jobs, he then said "We'll get you moved at 4:00 pm today." At 4:00 o'clock a crew was out at my apartment delivering my items. I wonder if I would have had to hire a lawyer had there not been that coincidence. I still think the company was jerking me.
