Everything we ever did before finding Gwen, was a nightmare. I would have a near panic attack before going and getting my taxes done. Gwen is Amazing, Fast, Accurate, and inexpensive compared to alternatives. I love knowing they are taking care of us every year. Will never go anywhere else as long as they are doing this.

One star for the Administrative woman who answers the phone, I would be shocked if they get any new customers with her attitude problem. I was told when I called last year by a male to call in October to get a spot for new customer, I called once, left message for a call back, never got a call back, called again and asked her what pricing I would be looking at as a new customer simple file, she said "I can't tell you that, I have no idea". I asked for a ballpark, she said "no idea, can't tell you-depends on your file." I said how am I supposed to know if I want to use you as my new accounting service, as I am shopping for a new accounting service by pricing, again she just said, I can't tell you. I again stressed how the heck am I supposed to decide if you won't tell me if it runs 100, 200, 300, etc. Finally she asked if I own a business, (no) she said she can't see it being more than 140.00. I said I'd like to book a date for March then, she said I can't book you this early, you will have to call in January. (I literally called last January, and the male told me to call in October to get a spot in 2025.) She is really a jerk on the phone. Guess I won't be using them. And they need to simply say "not accepting new customers" as soon as they answer the phone if that is what the goal is.

Really bummed. Pete had been a great accountant for my family for several years. But if you have to go through this rude front desk to schedule with him, it’s just not worth it. She’s been short in the past so I don’t like having to call… but I usually don’t let that stuff get to me… ignore it and move on. Today I call for an appointment and she’s once again short and with attitude. When asked if I’ve been there before I reply yes, except for last year. She then explains that I’m a new client again since I wasn’t there last year and Pete isn’t accepting new clients. I said ok, and thanks anyway. “Well what don’t you want an appointment now?” You just said you couldn’t schedule me… “well how many years did you come here? Before last year.” I don’t know about 7 I think. “Well fine I can schedule you!”Um Nevermind I don’t think I want that appointment after. I accept that I somehow gave up my “spot” by not getting taxes there last year. There is zero reason to be rude to people trying to schedule an appointment. It makes no sense.

I have been going to VJ Accounting for over 20yrs now and never have had a problem/issue with my taxes. I've been working with Pete and he has always been pleasant and helpful. No time wasted if you have all of your paperwork in order and ready for him. Last year I waited too long and they were booked but you can drop your taxes off with a payment and they'll do them (at least with Pete). That option was very convenient so I am not missing work. I would highly recommend Pete/VJ Accounting.
