U-Haul Moving & Storage at Capitol Ave

Returned my van almost an hour ahead of schedule. They never updated it as returned. Now, it's a whole day later and the app is still showing van as not returned. This has to be some type of scam! Be careful guys. Update: Around 10 minutes after this review post, it was magically updated in the app and I was charged the correct amount. Ill give them an extra star for the speedy fix after a negative review.

am extremely disappointed with the way my father and his helper were treated at U-Haul. The customer service was absolutely unacceptable. My father has a language barrier, and instead of being patient or even attempting to help him understand the rental process, the girl with the glasses at the counter was incredibly rude and dismissive. She acted annoyed from the beginning and made no effort to communicate clearly or respectfully. Rather than assisting him, she seemed irritated that he needed clarification and acted like helping him was a burden. On top of that, she was also rude to his helper who was simply trying to assist with signing and completing the paperwork. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and no basic human decency shown. When someone is trying to rent a truck and is paying for a service, the least they deserve is respect. It’s honestly upsetting to see someone treated poorly because of a language barrier. Customer service should be about helping people — not making them feel small or unwelcome. This experience left a really bad impression, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. Very disappointed.

Warning: Check your receipt before leaving! I explicitly declined the Safemove insurance at the counter, but the representative added it to my bill anyway without my consent. This is a deceptive business practice and unauthorized charge. When I caught it on the receipt later, it was clear this was done sneakily. Unethical business practices like this are unacceptable. I am currently filing a formal dispute with corporate and my bank. Renters beware—verify every line item before you sign anything at this location. Verify the line item! I also reported this to the Attorney General and the district manager of Uhual. PS: Just look at the reviews, they are very spot on and that’s one thing I wish I would’ve paid more attention to… It saves a headache. Report and record don’t argue.

Made a mistake a drove in the exit only at night. Didnt see parking so I parked in a random spot. Instead of helping me out an employee decided to come out and chastise me for a quick mistake I made in an empty parking lot. Returning our vehicle and never coming back to this location. Why would a grown man find is respectable to chastise a woman and baby alone at night in a parking lot?? Focus on your jobs and your reviews might be better.

Don’t know if he was having a bad day, but the representative with the unibrow had THE WORST attitude! The lady before me left cursing him out and I assumed she was in error. After dealing with him, I see he earned her disrespect. Honestly, if he doesn’t like customer service then find a new job. For a business as big as this to have representatives with such poor attitudes is disappointing. Won’t be returning to this location. If you have to come, avoid the uniman.
