The Learning Experience - Manhattan

Our family receives fantastic care from The Learning Experience. All the teachers know both of my children by name, and welcomes them enthusiastically every morning when we walk through the door. The administration is open and communicative and invested personally in each child's development. I feel like the teachers and staff truly love both of my children and want the best for them.

Our experience at TLE was nothing short of magnificent. From the initial meeting with Jessica, we could tell this was the place for my son. Everybody from Jessica to the individual teachers (2s, 3k) provided amazing care and support for our son. 100% recommend this to parents in Manhattan.

My three sons attended this center from infancy through Pre-K, and I truly don’t know how we would have done it without them. The administration has been incredible—always supportive, flexible, and willing to work with my (sometimes crazy) schedule. The teachers are simply the best: nurturing, loving, and deeply invested in each child’s growth. They supported our kids through everything from learning to eat a variety of foods and potty training to building emotional confidence and independence. The curriculum is outstanding—engaging, thoughtful, and age-appropriate. Our kids were always learning through meaningful activities and experiences, and they came home every day with songs they learned, stories of butterflies they released, fun projects with classmates, and special events like their school prom. Communication with parents was excellent, and the sense of community they created was truly special. Under the wonderful guidance of Jessica, this school has given our boys an amazing foundation and memories we’ll cherish forever.

We couldn’t be happier with TLE - it is a wonderful nurturing environment for babies to pre-K. TLE is impeccably run and led by a wonderful team, headed by Ms. Jessica, the director, who is on top of everything going on in the school. Teachers are high quality - kind, attentive, and invested in the children… many have been here for years, which speaks volumes. Communication with parents is excellent, with clear weekly emails, and daily photos that give real insight into what the children are doing and how their days are going. The entire administration knows the names of every child, and greets them by name each morning as they walk in. The kids are constantly engaged in creative activities - they have hands-on learning every day and are doing fun messy art projects as toddlers, and running little experiments in 3K and pre-K. They are taken outside to run and play every day, weather-permitting. During the year, there are high quality enrichment classes brought in to supplement the curriculum, including special science instruction, theater classes, and dance classes. During the summer camp, there is even more - soccer instruction and magic and water Fridays etc. Holidays are thoughtfully celebrated throughout the year and birthdays are a cause for special celebration! The staff will help you set up decorations and teachers will throw a little party for the kids. This is particularly great given the expense of children’s parties in Manhattan! As a bonus, the annual “school photos” are beautifully done by a fantastic independent photographer - we use ours for our holiday card every year! TLE is a real community for families - parents say hi to each other in the hallways and on the local playground in the evening and weekends. It’s a very international community, which is wonderful. TLE is just a real gem - the kind of warm loving environment you want for your child - our son has attended since he was 18 months and he is a thriving 4 year-old. We couldn’t recommend TLE more highly.

TLE is the hands down most fantastic place! My husband and I can’t say enough about how incredible the school year and camp have been for our daughter (almost three now). Thanks to the incredible and incredibly kind, compassionate, caring, wise, attentive and truly special staff, we have watched our daughter thrive, grow, and continuously develop emotionally, socially, mentally, into the happiest child. She has made countless friends, has so many special memories and has the best activities at both school and camp! The programs are amazing and Jessica and the staff do the greatest job to keep the programming engaging, fun, and innovative. A special tremendous recognition to Jessica for all she has done to make TLE the best place to be!
