DON’T EVER STORE YOUR STUFF HERE!!! The male employee is fatphobic, rude, and disrespectful. He ran after me, yelling slurs and negative comments about my appearance, unprompted, because I had to go in person to close out my account. After all, they were unresponsive over the phone. I felt unsafe with them holding my information in their system. Prior to most current issue mentioned the Property Manager will go ghost you when you try to resolve issues. They will actively not pick up the phone or answer emails if you have any issues or try to move out the unit. Their is no other person you can contact beyond the sales team which is not helpful if the property manager is unresponsive. Go anywhere else but here.

I want to take a moment to recognize EJ for the outstanding job he does. In a service-based business like storage, the people make all the difference — and EJ is truly the reason many of us stay with this company. From day one, EJ has been professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. He handles questions quickly, resolves issues efficiently, and treats customers with respect and courtesy. He goes above and beyond what’s required, and it shows. It’s rare to find someone who takes that much pride in their work. EJ is not just an employee — he is an asset to this company. His customer service sets the standard, and his presence gives customers confidence that their property is in good hands. In fact, I can say without hesitation that if EJ were ever to leave, I would seriously consider moving my business elsewhere. Several of my friends who also rent units here feel the same way — we have all consistently had positive experiences with him. Companies spend thousands of dollars trying to build customer loyalty. EJ does it naturally. He deserves recognition for the value he brings every day.

I toured the facility at Store Space Self Storage (L071), and EJ was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions without rushing me. The space was clean and well maintained, and EJ's professionalism made the experience even better. Highly

I just want to begin with giving this place a 10 out of 5 stars ! The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL & PROMPT . The team they have employed to watch over this location have been NOTHING short of AMAZING. I also want to respond to HAILEY AT SEA. Doris & EJ do go ABOVE AND BEYOND for their customers ! Even the disabled ones ! As I myself am disabled. You're trying to assasinate their character because YOU chose not to follow policy's that WE ALL as customers have had to follow. I'm sure thhey had ZERO malicious intent behind not getting back to your email as I have had the similar issue with giving written notice. However, once I was able to get ahold of them, they explained to me I needed to come to the office as a last confirmation to ensure I had moved everything out of my unit. The team they have in Hartford is AMAZING & they deal with so much on a daily basis & they work EXTREMELY HARD to make sure the store runs at customer satisfaction. God forbid they expected or asked you to follow simple directions to ensure YOU would no longer be billed. I also worked in the stirage industry and from what it seems like, you may have left trash in the unit or left your lock on the unit which is why you continued to be charged. But as far as trying to assasinate their character because YOU couldn't follow simple directions is UNFAIR ! I WOULD recommend them to ANYONE looking for storage, they display a level of professionalism that is second to none and the standard they have should be mimicked across ALL STORES. WONDERFUL group of individuals

When I requested a quote and on move in day customer service was warm, professional and prompt. After moving in that all ended. I’m a disabled veteran and I was insulted by email from their staff stating I was “unprofessional from a military standpoint” because I didn’t inform their staff verbally about moving out. The contract requires this in writing and I had already sent 7 written notices with no reply to any of them. For months I paid their insurance when I had my own as no one answered my calls or emails with my private insurance attached and after showing up in person I still had to wait. To get their military discount it took over 6 months and I submitted the form 3 times by email and in person. Not answering the phone or replying to emails was routine for them and as a result I paid more. They ignored my seven written notices of termination then continued to charge me monthly rent, late fees and send me emails threatening additional fees and referral of my account to debt collections. Some of these emails were sent out in mass so all customers could see each other’s contact information and notices that my account was delinquent when it was not. The company didn’t reply to my email that I didn’t consent to sharing my information this way. It took a lot to explain to them how to interpret their own contract properly and after urging them to seek proper legal advice in handling my account threats of collections stopped and charges were removed. I informed them of health problems that made this difficult to deal with and dissatisfaction with customer service in writing. They replied to other content in these emails without acknowledging or addressing the complaints I included so I felt like my concerns had been dismissed. A lot of normal tasks for people are more difficult for me and they made simple things like phone calls and emails feel overwhelming. When I asked to have my lock cut off they did so and gave me access without asking for ID to confirm I own the account. I don’t recommend their services to anyone and especially not the military or disabled community.
