I’ve wanted to come here for years. I found the food very underwhelming; I’ve eaten better at home. And when you have such a limited menu, every dish should be near perfection - sadly not the case, spare desert. THE GOOD: The only course I did like was desert. The honey & cream cake was excellent, albeit very sweet. Wonderful punchy pineapple flavors with a tres-leches-like cake. The “beeswax” ice cream it came with was rather flavorless (vanilla would make no difference), but it balanced the dish well. THE BAD: Mafalde pasta tasted like Ragu. The $44 pork chop was extremely tough; its tamarind “sweet and sour” sauce was overbearing and presented some undesirable bitter notes. The sauce felt like a coverup for how poorly it was cooked. It would’ve benefited from more salt, and the portions for the 3 of us who ordered it were not consistently sized. The $12 pork chops sold by the Lions Club at New Brighton Stockyard Days are FAR SUPERIOR. The papaya slaw that accompanied it seemed like unripe fruit (very tough), and the 4 small fried yucca nibblers included were seriously “mid” (cornmeal batter - really?!). The creamy spinach side was really code for “cheese curds,” which were also “mid,” again in cornmeal(y?) batter (I’m sorry, but do beer-batter). The Bison tartare tasted like off-the-shelf mexican seasoning, and there were not enough chips to share it (gracefully) as an appetizer. THE ETC: Service was good, atmosphere was nice. They should get larger water glasses so the staff don’t have to refill them so frequently; it got rather obnoxious after awhile.

We visited on a Sunday morning and were so glad we reserved a table online a few days ahead—by noon it was packed with a long line out the door. Parking can be a little tricky since it’s street parking and paid, but it wasn’t too hard to find a spot if you don’t mind walking a couple of blocks. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the drinks to the brunch dishes. I highly recommend trying the croissant—it’s huge, perfect for sharing, and absolutely yum! The steak was cooked beautifully and definitely worth the price. I also loved sitting by the open kitchen and watching the chefs at work—it added a fun energy to the experience. The service was warm and welcoming, while still giving us space. Everyone we interacted with was professional, stylish, and friendly.

This is by far one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Minneapolis. My wife and I were celebrating and had heard great things about this place. When we entered, the hostess offered to check our coats in. The ambiance was a dimly lit, cozy atmosphere with exposure to the unique architecture of the warehouse district. I especially appreciated the open kitchen concept, allowing us to openly see how they were preparing the food. Now onto the food itself. Every single dish served was at least a 9.5/10. The hamachi crisp was served with a sauce that struck the perfect balance between sweetness and savory, and pepper that added the perfect amount of kick. My wife’s sturgeon dish was absolutely phenomenal, and my pot roast was definitely one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. Even the deserts were a 10/10. After we paid the check, the hostess already had our coats ready prior to walking out the door. The meal is pricey, and the portions are modest, but this is the perfect demonstration of a quality over quantity dining experience. We will definitely be back!

I came in around 9:45pm on a Saturday night without a reservation. Luckily the bar area is first come first serve and there was a chair open. I ordered the Jungle Bird cocktail and it was fantastic! Based on the reviews online I ordered the Pork Chop. While waiting for the entrée, a server bought out a bread roll and butter. It was good. My main dish came out pretty quick. It was a huge pork chop and cooked perfectly! While I did like the glaze, it was a little too sweet for my taste and the vegetables underneath were minimal. I did like the dish but I probably wouldn’t order it again since it was so sweet. Overall it was a very nice dining experience and I would come back if I lived in the area.
