Came here for the first time awhile back based on a recommendation from a friend. I have come back maybe 2 or 3 times since then and the food, service, and cleanliness have been on point every single time. I usually have the mac smash which I really enjoy as an (upgraded) alternative to a certain fast food burger. This time though, I tried the OG smash. The smash sauce was great! My partner had a burger with bacon that I kept making eyes at, but didn’t have the chance to try. The Cajun fries are fire, very well seasoned. If you’re wondering if you should give this place a try, do it. Just look at the picture. They’ll get you right.

We *required* burgers for dinner last night, so we decided to go to one of the last few RVA burger spots we had yet to try. Jazz, (forgive me if I got your name wrong, but that's what I heard!) who helped us, was outstanding... helpful, patient, kind and knowledgeable... He explained everything to be sure we all got what we wanted. The burgers we had were all very effectively seasoned and generously portioned. Beef was perfect and not dried out and hard as can sometimes happen with smash burgers. Best smash I've had in a long time. Their Smash sauce is very mustard forward, which is not our style, so we tried the Mac sauce which is more thousand-island-y and was perfection. Fries were hot and crispy and we really enjoyed their cajun/malt vinegar seasoning blend. Also...don't sleep on their house-made bottled concoctions. Their version of an Arnold Palmer was unique and delicious...I've never had an Arnold Palmer that starts very tea-forward and is followed by a delightful lemon SLAP at the end. So good!

My son celebrated his birthday and said that he wanted a good burger for his birthday dinner. I started reading reviews and looking at IG post and found Smashed RVA so, after his birthday outing we went to eat. We were not disappointed. Everything was hot, fresh and made to order. We ordered Plain Jane Smash, OG Smash, BBQ Bacon Smash, fries and bottled drinks. It was all too much and we ended up taking food him. The box of fries can really feed 2-3 people. Hell, the burger could feed two people also.

Wow! Glad we found this. Great smash, you can have single, double or triple. I did a double and was full!! The menu has a good selection of very different burgers. All the beer is local and canned. To go also. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Will try hard to go again!!

We found this place when trying to find something new in Richmond on a trip. Man, am I glad we did! The service was excellent. The cashier recommended the Mac Smash and explained that each patty was 1/4lb. He also recommends the fries (they come with a Cajun seasoning on them). After we ordered we were able to easily find a seat in the restaurant. When the food came, WOW! The burger was smashed to perfection and somehow it was thin and crispy, yet juicy. The fries were seasoned to perfection with a subtle kick but not too spicy. We all ate every last piece of food that we ordered. We were stuffed. Absolutely check this place out. Delicious food, amazing service and plenty of seating.
