Select Van & Storage Co.

We used Select Van for our move from Nebraska to Tennessee and I couldn't have been more pleased. From our packers (Amy, Kelli, & Loraine) to our loaders/unloaders that made the trip from NE to TN (Larry, Bobbi, Jacob, & Gary), the process was seemless and efficient. I can't say enough about their professionalism and their attention to detail in making sure our items got to their destination safely. I would highly recommend requesting Larry and his crew for your upcoming move!

What happens when your movers do not show up on the agreed moving day? We had a terrible experience with Select Van&Moving. Firstly, they wanted to change our scheduled military moving date to a week earlier. We told them we couldn’t do it and we were ready to change our moving company but they said that they could still move us on the dates we requested earlier. It was determined that the packing would take two days and the third day, they would load it in the truck. A few days before moving, they called us to say that packing would actually take only one day, which we didn’t think was plausible but we agreed. In the morning of the packing day, nobody showed up!!! Additionally, nobody even contacted us about any issues. Being very stressed about what to do, we reached them after many phone calls (it’s very difficult to reach someone eager to help) and learned that their team got sick that morning and there was nothing they could do. No plan B or anything. The manager, Mr. Don, told me ‘things happen’. We seeked help from the responsible military persons. Later that they, they sent two ladies who were nice and hardworking but they couldn’t finish the job. So, four other people came the next morning. I think these new people were the team that was sick the day before. They all suddenly got better the next day. On the final moving day, the driver told us he would deliver our stuff either next Monday or Tuesday. He said he would inform us if he could deliver even earlier than that. A couple days before the mentioned delivery date, we called them to get some confirmation but there was none. The mentioned delivery date passed but no delivery. Then, they texted and emailed us saying that the delivery would be on a Thursday. Wednesday morning, we received a few confirmation about it again. But that same afternoon they called again and said the delivery was postponed to Friday because the truck got broken. I talked to their manager about this problem and he blamed military for letting them use very old trucks. He said those trucks were so bad that nobody would use them but the military would let them use these trucks. Thursday, l called their manager Mr. Don again to get a confirmation that they would actually deliver on Friday. He said they would deliver on Friday but he was rude on the phone and l felt like he didn’t take me seriously. I deeply regret having actually requested this company based on their positive reviews. I feel like we were constantly being lied to about their services. It’s a very unreliable, unprofessional and unfriendly company. I do not suggest it to any military or civilian family. It took them 16 days to bring our stuff to only a 16 hour distance. My idea is that they only care about things being convenient for them instead of trying to deliver a professional service.

Kelly, Amy, Lorraine, and Emily are a wonderful group of ladies! They had our house packed up in one day (instead of two) without any issues. Efficient, quality work!! Would recommend 100%

The packing up of our shipment went very smoothly. The two people did a good job of protecting the floors and moving our belongings to the truck. The shipment arrived at the destination right on time. The unpacking went well enough considering that only 1 person arrived with the shipment. Without a helper he was unable to move a couple of large items into the proper place in the house. In saying that, he did his best to move all our belongings by himself. We will now have to hire people to finish the moving of these heavy items into the proper place.

Kelly and Amy are a great packing team. Very nice, professional, and patient. I had a few last minute items to prep for the move when they arrived that they were courteous enough to still include as they moved through the rooms in a very effective manner. Only thing I forgot to ask about in the end was what sounded like a broken ceramic from another room. Review subject to change when it's time to open the boxes.
