I booked a haircut last Saturday for 3:45pm. I was called Friday at 3:44pm to confirm and was told I was confirmed (I also have email confirmation). I showed up for my appointment and was told by the front desk employee that my name was not listed. I showed her my confirmation email so she called over who I assume was the manager. She also stated she did not see me on the schedule (WHAT?!). I was then told that a stylist had called out for an emergency and they assumed I was booked under them and that the appointments were moved to a different day. She said, "Did I not call you?" - no, no one called me or emailed me to let me know my confirmed appointment was not happening - I only found out by showing up. There was no offer to rebook me. They only attempted AFTER I had left. This place is extremely unprofessional and lacks any communication skills. How does a company confirm an appointment only to not have any record of it? Do not waste your time, there are many other options in the neighborhood.

I went in asking for a simple clean up on my short hair while keeping it growing out. I showed a photo of the style I was aiming for and explained that my goal was length, not another short cut. About a month and a half ago I had almost buzzed it myself and did a bad fade, so I just wanted it evened out as it grows. Paul did a clean, sharp fade on the sides, back, and neckline. That part was well done and took around 30 minutes. However, the top of my hair was not really touched and was left the same way it was when I walked in, uneven and unbalanced from growing out. After he saying thats all, I asked him to fix the top as well. He barely trimmed a small section with scissors and said my hair was too short to correct properly, then ended the cut. The shop itself looks nice and has a cool atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and Paul was polite. However, paying $64 for just a fade is not worth it in my opinion. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

Definitely not worth the $76 (with tip). I tried them out because it looked like a reputable place, had decent reviews, and I was desperate for a haircut before an interview this week. Now, if I were to remove the drink (about $14 on their menu), it still would have been a $62 haircut and I expected a much better experience and outcome. Did it come out ok? For the most part. Did it look and feel like I got my money’s worth? No. Take that as you may, I know a few people who go here and feel like they get a good experience.

I am super content with my barber Paul. He was very direct and even recommended product so I would get volume and texture to my hair. As a guy with fine hair and after two months of following his advice I am super ecstatic with how my hair has come to the point now. If you need someone who knows what they’re talking about and you actually will listen to him, go to Paul bro is the truth.

AVOID getting cut by Amelly (older lady with short blue hair). She gave me the worst fade of my life. My hair is super long with a taper fade on the side, all I wanted was an upkeep of the fade. I specified for her to make sure not to cut any of the longer part, as I had someone accidentally do that once. She started the haircut looking like a child as she was holding the clippers with BOTH HANDS, she went right up into my hair and I was pulling out literal CLUMPS of my long hair that she cut right through. Like I mean clumps. She tried to tell me “this was inevitable” when it’s literally not, I’ve had this haircut for 5 years and most barbers who aren’t terrible can avoid hitting the long part. Aside from that, the fade she gave me was actually just awful, with horrible blend. I’m so sorry to say this but this woman should not be allowed to cut hair, definitely not give fades. They way she tried to tell me that it was inevitable and not her incompetence was the cherry on top. She literally wrecked my hairline in the back too. I had a great experience at the other scissors and scotch in DC, maybe go there. But this woman should quite literally not be allowed to touch anyone’s hair, avoid her like the plague.
