Recess Fitness Club

Dropped in from out of town looking for a good gym to get a workout. Gym was great. Love the “no tripod” policy and financial penalty for not re racking weights. All gyms should have this. Machines were all functional and clean. Facilities were top notch and modern. The only negative was the $50 guest fee is pretty ridiculous. If you are a member’s guest, it’s only $25 which is reasonable. Took an uber to the gym and it was getting late so I went ahead and reluctantly paid the $50. For that, I won’t be back as it just feels insulting to pay that much for a day pass. I know gyms gotta make money but that just deters me from ever going back when I’m in tow which is often. If I was local, I’d join for sure. Staff was cool and gym had great energy.

I've been working out for a long long time at many gyms across the country, and Recess Fitness in Dallas is by far the best. The gym is spacious and there's quite a bit of equipment to where you're never waiting around for benches and such. The owners maintain it regularly and keep it spotless. The older equipment is replaced quite often surprisingly. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. There's a sauna and cold plunge. And the atomosphere and members are great, makes you want to work out harder and stay in shape! What else can one say, everything you'd want in a gym and then some!

I had a great experience today. First time at the gym. I did a drop in and bought a week long pass (as I am visiting from out of town) for 75 dollars, which I was happy to pay for the very nice Gym and very nice staff. Tons of equipment and the areas are all separated. Excellent lighting. The Very nice, Very tall gentleman at the front desk gave me a tour. and I had a great workout. the other Gym Goers were respectful of space. I would absolutely do a membership if ai lived in the area.

Recess Fitness Club has been an incredible experience from day one. Jason and Ryne are truly outstanding trainers knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in helping you hit your goals. Their coaching style makes every session productive and enjoyable. The facility itself is always spotless, well-organized, and clearly cared for. You can tell they take pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable environment. What really stands out, though, is the staff’s engagement. They don’t treat you like just another customer; they connect with you, encourage you, and make you feel like part of the community. It’s a place where you’re welcomed, supported, and pushed to be your best.Highly recommend Recess Fitness Club!

I’ve been a member at Recess for a little over a year and have really enjoyed this gym, the top notch equipment, and the community. It can be intimidating to start something new but if you decide to join I recommend either asking the fitness manager to show you around or booking a session or two with a trainer to help you get to know the equipment. Just remember that everyone there walked into the gym for the first time at some point too! The staff is very friendly and the gym is nice and clean. It can get busy at night but I’ve never had problems getting a good workout in. When I started working out at Recess I decided to hire a trainer because I needed to lose weight and get back in shape and I felt that working with a trainer would expedite the process. The fitness manager met with me to discuss what I was looking for and he paired me with Jason. Jason’s style of training matches my energy and has been very effective…. to date I’ve lost almost 60 pounds and my body is becoming completely transformed. I’ve gotten to know many of the trainers at Recess and they are all fantastic….they are held to high standards and truly care about their clients. Overall joining Recess has been a fantastic experience which I highly recommend!
