I don't typically write many reviews, but felt compelled to write a long overdue review of Providence Orthodontics. My situation was coming from an adult perspective, as someone who never had orthodontics as a child. I had some stubborn teeth, particularly a bottom tooth. I genuinely can't state enough positive descriptions here about Dr. Collins and every member of her team. As some may be aware, orthodontics is really a long process and a "marathon" not a sprint. I think that is what they excel at is the process of it all; from consultation, adjustments, advice, listening, humor and building a trusted relationship all along the way. I started out with Invisalign and ended up finishing with braces to "get the job done." Dr. Collins really was focused on getting the best outcome for me and if that meant extra time that was okay. In a job that could easily become a "number" in, Dr. Collins makes you feel like you are the only patient she is seeing that day. My recommendation to adult patients is that part of the job of orthodontics is on "you" as the part of the process- meaning you need to follow the process and not being inpatient. I am happy I chose Providence Orthodontics and highly recommend them as a "Sure bet" to go with!

I went to Dr. Collins for invisalign, braces, and then a retainer to correct a rogue tooth. It was a great experience-Dr. Collins is a perfectionist and that's what you want with your teeth! The whole staff was friendly and accomodating. I will definitely return if I have any more teeth issues.

tldr: they are downright SCAMMY and manipulate customers to force them to pay significantly more for unnecessary things. I was referred here by my dentist to get a permanent retaining wire replaced. After they received the referral I scheduled an appointment and they quoted me $85 for the office visit and $150 to have the wire replaced. Felt steep but orthodontics is never cheap, so I went ahead with them. I arrive for my appointment and the nurse/assistant brought me back. Before she even looks at my teeth, and before I even meet the orthodontist, she tells me flatly that they do not repair or replace wires and instead it will be $1200 to buy a new retainer. I explain that I had a referral for this specific service so I am not interested in a retainer. She says quite rudely that it is my only option and today’s visit will cost almost $1300. I said again that I am not buying a retainer and she said that no matter what it will cost $85 for the office visit— absolutely ridiculous when neither the nurse nor the orthodontist had examined my teeth and I had not even spoken to the orthodontist. I was able to advocate my way out of the charge at the front desk and left with no intention of ever returning. I could understand if they turned me away up front but they accepted my referral, scheduled my appointment to have the wire replaced, and provided a quote for that specific service. The whole setup felt like a scam to get me to make an appointment with them and then be upcharged to $1300 for something I do not need or want. It always makes me furious and disheartened to see medical/dental practitioners intentionally over complicating and overselling their products/services in order to manipulate customers and force them into paying more than they intended. Scum of the earth behavior to prey upon people who are just looking to spend their hard-earned money to improve their health.

Not a google reviewer, but I have to say that my experience has been great at Providence Orthodontics! Dr.Collins is wonderful along with her team and staff overall, I’ve been seen a few times by Destiny and she is always friendly and gentle. I recommend this office with no doubt.
