Planet Fitness

I visited three Planet Fitness locations in the Phoenix area over the past few days, and unfortunately this one was the worst of the three. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The gym overall felt dirty compared to other Planet Fitness locations I’ve been to. The equipment is also noticeably older, and the yoga mats looked very worn and heavily used. Another problem was the lack of staff presence. During most of my workout there was no one available at the front desk to assist with questions or issues. Someone finally appeared near the end of my session, but it was surprising not to see staff around for most of the time I was there. The website also lists this location as having a circuit training room, but I didn’t see one during my visit. In addition, this location does not have the wall-mounted lockers that many other Planet Fitness locations provide, which makes storing personal items less convenient. I normally enjoy Planet Fitness and have had great experiences at other locations, so this visit was disappointing. Hopefully this location can improve its cleanliness, maintenance, and staffing so it better reflects the standard many other Planet Fitness gyms maintain.

My brother & I started going together and we were super nervous as it was our first time hitting the gym. The staff was incredibly helpful & this gym really was a judgment free zone. We worked with the trainer, Tasi, & she was so sweet, knowledgeable, & helpful. Dante was a new hire and they were also incredibly helpful and nice as well. This location & its staff are so great that we’ve been feeling extra motivated to keep coming back 🔥

Meh, the gym is a little too small for the amount of people that attend. Could really use more leg machines. Need another 3-4 benches near the free weights. Feel like I’m always waiting to get on stuff and many times the workout just takes too long for that reason.

GO TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION!!! Checked in around 7pm on a Saturday. The gym closed at 8pm, and at 8:03 as I am in my car about to leave, a parking lot security guard approaches my window, takes a picture of me, & tells me to leave for no stated reason whatsoever. Very strange, completely unnecessary, and it’s not a pleasant experience to be demanded to leave for having done nothing wrong. No forgiveness for crap like this. Despite the facilities being fine, this undoes anything good this location has to offer. I recommend you find another gym or go to one of the many other nearby PF locations where you won’t have to risk being judged.

5 star experience thanks to Bill. Phenomenal employee who was knowledgeable and kind to everyone he came into contact with. I’ve been to over 40PF across the US and he could give drain other locations on what service looks like. The gym is decent sized with plenty of cardio and weights. Black card area and gym was really clean. A great experience.
