Great service from these guys today! Joab was excellent! Book through him! This guy is killing it! Took great care of me! His precision to detail on the fade! Great talks. It did come out a little longer than i would have liked but i think that was a communication error on my part… he worked so hard and long on it i didnt have the nerve to say go shorter lol But the cut and the service are still both Top notch!! Joab the way to go! Give this man a raise! Book through him you wont be dissappointed!

I walked in here, long, disgusting hair, hardly taken care of despite my efforts. I booked the appointment with Azu at 3:00PM, I was nervous and had no idea what I was asking. With just two reference photos and a quick explanation of my predicament he got to work. Whole time I was relaxed, almost fell asleep and the environment was super friendly. Not overwhelming. For a first haircut that wasn't a trim, I had an excellent experience. Don't underestimate this team, especially my boy Azu. Came out more confident than I've felt in years, love this place!

Firstly, navigating to this saloon is tricky. They don’t have clear sign and I was looking around to find where its located. I tried calling but the call went to voicemail. I asked the coffee shop below and who informed that the saloon is on 3rd floor. After reaching at the saloon for my appointment, I waited for 20 mins and then I received a call saying that they don’t know where is the barber. The next availability was not until 5:30pm. My appointment was 10 am. I was so depressed. Clearly, the team can do a better job any handling cancellations and rescheduling. Not a good experience at all. ☹️

I recently visited Penthouse HNL and had an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. The shop itself has a modern and clean aesthetic, making it a comfortable place to relax while getting a haircut. My barber, Johnny, was incredibly professional and skilled. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions to enhance the style. Throughout the haircut, he was meticulous and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect. The overall atmosphere was great, with good music playing in the background and a pleasant buzz of conversation. It’s clear that the staff here takes pride in their work and cares about their customers. I left the shop feeling fresh and confident, with one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. The prices are reasonable for the high quality of service provided. I highly recommend Penthouse HNL to anyone looking for a top-notch barber experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

My experience with Penthouse started with a getting a bad haircut fixed after a rotation from the Philippines. Initially, I was put off by the steep pricing, and was unsure of stepping out of my means for the chance of a good haircut. But the shop, maintaining a distinguished aesthetic and establishing itself at a unique locale, generated intrigue. “Penthouse.” The name had an air of exclusivity to it. A place for interesting people and exotic experiences. Its initial impression on me was magnetic, and so I decided to gamble on it. Oftentimes you get what you pay for, and at Penthouse, you get what you pay for and more. What was initially a gambit, ended up being for me, one of the best finds on island, uncontested. Upon my initial visit, I was met with panel glass doors looking into the shop, as if spectator to a show of working artisans. And so within me was incited a curious excitement; I couldn’t wait to get a cut. The atmosphere was welcoming. The shop was staffed by people not merely there to work, but to master a craft. Not only good at cutting hair, they are also good at servicing their customers. Special care is paid attention to the clientele; a clear cut understanding of the importance of your customer. The cut can speak for itself in the photos below, but ever since, I have consistently walked in for cuts, and I don’t think I’ll stop. It wasn’t just a barbershop, but an experience. For me, the people I’ve met at this shop have made my day better every time I’ve come in, and the least I could do is express my gratitude in a review.
