Mimi's Cafe

First time ever having Mimi's Cafe . This place came highly recommended in the Polaris area . I tried the croissant breakfast sandwich It was simple , light and flavorful. Had to try bread pudding as well . The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was quiet . Overall I would definitely recommend

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Mimi's Cafe today. What should have been a simple, enjoyable meal with family turned into a painful and completely mishandled situation. We ordered the spinach dip appetizer, and when my sister took her first bite, it was served so dangerously hot that it instantly burned the roof of her mouth. Hours later, her mouth is still red, blistered, and painful, and she has been unable to eat properly. This was not a matter of “warm cheese” — it was excessively overheated food that caused an actual injury. We calmly notified our waitress and simply suggested they warn customers that the dish is served at an extreme temperature. We did not demand anything and were fully prepared to pay for the sandwich my sister could no longer eat. The waitress kindly offered on her own to remove it from the bill, and we accepted after thanking her. Shortly afterward, the general manager approached our table without introducing himself and proceeded to lecture us about how “cheese is hot” in a dismissive and condescending tone. He then asked if we wanted to just take the sandwich home. His lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism was unacceptable — especially considering we never asked for anything to be comped in the first place. The complete disregard for customer safety and the poor management response turned an unfortunate accident into a terrible experience. I would strongly caution others before choosing to dine here.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Mimi’s Cafe at Polaris, and it was entirely because of our server, Harvey! From the moment she greeted us, she brought such a bubbly, welcoming energy that instantly set the tone. She’s an exceptional communicator — confident, clear, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Every recommendation hit just right, and she explained everything in a way that made ordering effortless. Her attentiveness was next level. She checked in at perfect times with impressively quick return times, almost like she could feel the rhythm of the table and drop in exactly when needed. The service never missed a beat — smooth, seamless, and perfectly timed from start to finish. Our food came out fast, everything was 100% correct, and the whole experience just flowed. No chaos, no confusion — just pure harmony. Honestly, the entire meal felt elevated in the best way. Harvey truly turned a simple brunch into a headlining experience. Mimi’s is lucky to have her — we’ll absolutely be back and would gladly request her again!

i ordered the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were a solid lump, the green beans were fine, the best part of the meal. The steak didn’t taste like steak and it had the consistency and texture of a meal that had sat under a warmer until someone had ordered it. I had gone last year for valentine’s day and had excellent food and service. I ordered the exact same meal matter of fact. Disappointed and botched Valentine’s day. 1st photo was my meal last night, 2nd photo was my amazing meal 1 year prior, they do not even remotely look similar.

Shared a wonderful lunch with my Wife today at Mimi's Cafe. She had the Half Roasted Chicken which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Braised Short Ribs (hidden under a delicious pile of crispy fried onions) which was fall apart tender and delicious. Our service was friendly and efficient. Our food was delivered in a very timely manner. (Another great meal here yesterday. Additional photos of roasted chicken and meatloaf added.) Overall, a very pleasant experience. 5 Stars!
