I originally left a review after receiving amazing service. However, after I paid and had my appointment on 1/20, I did not hear back from anyone. I called on 2/6 to inquire about my case and was told I would receive a call back, but no one followed up. I called again on 2/11, and was told they had no updates they are still waiting on a cause number but to my surprise, I received an email today stating that I am being charged $35 for every phone call. This is very disappointing, especially since I have not received any proactive communication and have had to call just to get updates on my case. It’s frustrating to now see charges for simply trying to get information. I will update my review in a few weeks with how things progress, but at this point, the experience has been very frustrating. Update to their response: Since my in-person appointment on 1/20, I have not received a single follow-up phone call. I’ve had to call twice myself just to request updates, and I was charged for both calls. I’m not sure who is receiving case updates, but it certainly hasn’t been me. I also feel unable to call and discuss the inaccurate information because I’m concerned I will be charged again. This response has made me even more disappointed due to the inaccurate statements being made. I will be posting a follow-up to this review, but please ensure that the information you provide is accurate because what’s being said is simply not true.

DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWFIRM. Manuel Diaz and his team have put very little effort into my case w/ only negative results. My ex wife who is representing herself is WINNING. Again Manuel Diaz and his team are losing against someone who has NO LAWYER. Please keep in mind that my ex has been harassing my friends , family & I with evidence to show to the court and none of it has been used. The time I needed my lawyers the most in the courtroom I was sent a "substitute" who knew nothing about my case. It was this court session I lost even more rights to see my child. After the loss I have not heard from my lawyers on how they can make it up to us in the courtroom I've only heard from the billing department about how I owe them an additional $2,000 for my court date they loss. Let's talk money. $4,000 to start my divorce and months went by without my wife being subpoena. That is unheard of. I kept asking what is going on & received excuse after excuse. Once my wife finally received the subpoena the $4,000 was depleted. I had one court room session and had to pay an additional $3,500 prior. Next came the court date in which we actually had to take the stand, have witnesses, I get a lawyer I have never spoken to thru out this process who knew absolutely nothing about my case and lost the days battle. After this is I now receive daily phone calls I owe them $2,000 for their work. Great job guys I am the full custody parent and I only see my child 3 days a week now from your lack of efforts. I ask Manuel Diaz & his team actually look over my case and let me know how they can deliver the next court session. I await your call & please not from the 3 different lawyers that failed me, I need someone higher up to apologize. You were given evidence of harassment when hired on. It is your job to deliver that in courtroom and you incenuate it is mine? What am I paying y'all for? ADMIT the lawyer you sent to stand in for my original attorney was not prepared.

From this experience, I did want to leave a review. Initially, everything was going great—they greeted me kindly and made me feel welcome. However, once I spoke to a lawyer about my case, I was met with attitude, a bit of sass, and the feeling that I wasn’t being taken seriously. Once I finally paid, the whole environment changed. I was told I would be assigned a lawyer for my case and that it would take 48 business hours for them to contact me. Instead, it took an entire week for someone to finally call me back. When they did call, I was placed on hold, and once the hold was removed, I was told the lawyer wasn’t in. After another week of waiting—making it two weeks total—I called back, frustrated and wanting answers. By that point, I had already been charged close to $600 without any communication. This included about $50 for a welcome letter, additional administrative fees, and even a charge for using a debit card. I wish that had been disclosed; I would’ve brought cash. I will add that once I finally got in contact with the lawyer assigned to me, I did feel taken care of. But everything between the initial consultation and the moment I reached my designated lawyer was horrible. I genuinely started to think I had been scammed out of thousands of dollars. All in all, if you’re willing to risk minimal communication and being charged for every little thing—including a *welcome letter*, which should be free—then go ahead and sign with them. Like I said, my lawyer was great, which is the only reason I’m not leaving a one-star review.
