Note: I didn’t receive at recipe so can you provide me with the information for who I need to reach out to? I also would not like to continue doing business with the company so I will be filing somewhere else. I was charged $669 for a 'simple submission' despite being active-duty military with no complex assets. The preparer intentionally stalled the process because he couldn't identify a standard form, then slapped on an arbitrary $299 surcharge just to finish. Even H&R Block staff admitted this was wrong and advised me to report it. Charging a service member double the price due to a preparer’s own lack of training is predatory. Wanting to pay someone to make your life a little easier makes you a target 🤦🏽‍♂️. Start in November to resubmit my taxes because I need to change my status. (The H&R professional could see the bs without even logging in, and they sent me somewhere to get it for free. She also showed me why there should have been no delay)
