We get so much value from our membership as a family of four. It’s about $500 a month, but it’s 100% worth it. The facility is always clean, the classes and gym equipment are excellent, and the instructors are fantastic. Our kids absolutely love Kids Academy, and we really appreciate the Parents’ Night Out events. One of our favorite perks is being able to drop the kids off and enjoy up to three hours to ourselve whether that’s getting a great workout in or just relaxing by the pool together. It’s been such a great investment in both our family time and our personal wellness.

Our experience with the youth swim program at Life Time Fitness in Charlotte has been extremely disappointing. My children, along with multiple other girls on the team, were repeatedly subjected to verbal mistreatment by one of their coaches. . His behavior was harsh and intimidating to the point that it brought swimmers to tears and diminished their desire to continue in the sport. Several attempts were made to address this issue through the proper channels, but no meaningful action was taken. What’s most concerning is that my children are now afraid to speak up themselves due to fear of retaliation. No youth program should create an environment where kids feel unsafe raising concerns. Youth sports should build confidence and resilience. Instead, this experience discouraged participation and negatively impacted the girls’ well-being. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures that staff working with children are properly trained, supervised, and held accountable.

I have to start by saying this is my favorite place to be. Aside from the amenities here the people is where this LifeTime really shines. From the staff when you walk in (Chelsea, Kaaren, Daniela, Andrew, Patrick & Kemma) to name a few, they start my mornings off with a warm and inviting greeting. The facility is always cleaned and maintained. Shout out to the support staff! They handle any issues extremely quickly. But the highlight for me would have to be the Dynamic Personal Training staff lead by Jo! I can’t express enough how impactful this team is. All extremely educated and friendly! I need to give an extremely big shout out to the Dynamic Trainer AJ! Talk about being great at your job! I walked in from an injury while working out and worked with him to address it. He educated me on how I injured myself and worked to address my pains. He even walked me through stretches to help alleviate the pain going forward. Without AJ I would still be hobbling around trying to ignore the pain. Truly thankful for this gym but most importantly the team.

Been member since Lifetime opened several years ago. Great atmosphere for everyone of all ages. Large number of cardio machines, strength training machines, and free weights. Indoor pools, outdoor pool, kid care from 8 to 1. Extra cost. Certified personal trainers at extra cost. Many classes like yoga, baree, pilates, bike racing, tennis, pickleball etc.

Posting anonymously. I rarely leave reviews unless the experience truly warrants it. Lifetime has built a strong reputation, which is why this experience was so disappointing. The tall white gentleman at the front desk who scans barcodes and checks members in is consistently unwelcoming. For a facility where members pay nearly $500 a month for a family, this level of customer service, especially first thing in the morning when you walk in is unacceptable. First impressions matter, and being greeted with cold or dismissive energy immediately sets the wrong tone. Lifetime is known for excellence, but the front desk experience has unfortunately taken away from that reputation. Will give it a better star if the customer service improves at the front desk eventually!!
