LA Fitness

Ive been at this gym a long time and one things for sure, it is consistent. Old equipment never been replaced. Most cardio equipment has rust or squeaks. Usually atleast one machine broken at all times. Soap dispencers in the bathroom are always out. Not once in a while but 75% of the time. Santiation wipes are scarce within the gym and most of the time are empty. Trash bins overflow. Secruity cameras facing the parking lot do not work nor have they for years. While there is a pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is under maintence alot of the time. Management sold the pool time to a swim club 5 days a week. So not much time to use, unless you come on Monday or Friday. Management changes quit often, might be the reason this location is so poorly maintained. Not a good look for the overall La Fitness brand.

I only come to university location during colder months to swim laps and to use the sauna ( My regular location Old Saint Augustine Rd) and every time I come in I’m grossed out by the women’s locker room and showers . Womens bathroom 1/3 soup dispenser have soup it’s seems like always a thing! Friendly staff and friendly people that come here but if it wasn’t for sauna I wouldn’t be able to stomach coming here all the time. This gym has so much potential , nice space, decent equipment but very dirty. I finally took some pictures ( can’t believe a human being would leave this mess after themselves ) same scenario every time I come in, they need to take notes from Saint Augustine location which is spotless! Shower rod so rusted I wouldn’t dear to put my towel over it .

I've been a member for over 10 years. While they have a lot of amenities and machines, it needs a lot of updating and cleaning. Much of the cardio equipment is in need of replacing, repair or a deep cleaning. Rusted areas on ellipticals. Years of grime, dirt, dust and whatever else in the cup holders and phone ports on the treadmills, as well as filthy treadmill belts. Spin bikes that make clicking noise and need repair. Soap constantly out in the women's locker room. Not enough sanitation stations, and equipment wipe containers constantly empty. Whatever they are using to clean in the sauna recently does not react well with the heat and causes a burning sensation in the eyes. This gym used to be great, but is in need of a very deep cleaning and updating.

For being a member of La fitness. I went to this twice once at 5:00 in the morning and another time around 3:00 in the afternoon. I typically go to the LA Fitness on Atlantic very lively. The vibe is there when you come to this location. It's very quiet inside almost nobody there. They have decent equipment but it feels off when you're in a gym environment that doesn't have thumping music no one thrown away around. And when I came in there was nobody even at the front desk. And I read that they are closing and going out of business but my opinion is it's due to the lack of business that they're not kidding but the overall atmosphere was almost like a library very quiet almost nobody there but hey if you're in the area you need a good workout they have a good equipment if you're in the area you need a good workout they have a good equipment

Showers take several minutes to get warm. The pool is cold. But more importantly, there is no concern with safety or sanitation in the shower area. There are no hooks or a shelf to place a wet bathing suit or Bathing supplies. Therefore items Or bag is placed on the floor either in or outside the shower. There is no bench in shower area to set your things or sit to dress or dry off. Just install hooks at each shower! Most swimmers are elderly & need these simple safety essentials. Notice in the reviews, the owner only addresses positive reviews with no Acknowledgment Or corrective action to the negative.
