This gym is the worst! Machines are usually broken, I've seen the same "out of order" sign taped to a machine for the whole time I spent going to this gym (some months). The cleansing wipes dispensers are always empty, which means no one can clean the machines after they use them, so you know all those machines are disgusting. The pool is always grody and does not smell like chlorine at all- I don't know how else they would sterilize it, so I fear it's just untreated tap water. I don't understand why anyone would pay triple what a normal gym costs to come here.

Simple layout. Often issues with odor and machines going unfixed for a year+. The Cranston location was great in both regards, and unlike this location, consistently held the classes advertised in the LA fitness ads they run on the gym TVs. Front desk is always kind. All in all, it’s a gym to get in, work out, get out. If you’re a big powerlifter etc. And don’t mind navigating a crowd, try Edge. If you’re just looking to be active and lift casually/for health this gym is fine, and close by for Providence and Pawtucket neighborhoods

There are reviews on my account that's not me, but this one is definitely me. All the high reviews for this gym are people being "nice" and it doesn't help the next person. 2/25/26 this gym is closed due to an outage but Planet Fitness right behind it is open. Dunkin donuts and all the other businesses on the street is open. I'm trying to think of why that's the case but I remind myself that half the cardio machines have been down since I moved to this city/town/area/state with low work ethic. There was a preacher curl machine and decline bench that was "out of order" for weeks but needed the screws tightened which those screws for both pieces of equipment sat under the machines? Both just needed one screw and washer to be put back in.. I could go in on how odd the people are that come here and the lack of home training they have. With nothing being policed, especially the weight dropping from head level for no reason and grown men with staring problems, you'd almost think the staff/management is okay with it. What's also crazy is how you could be a 20-30+ year old who cant afford $30/month for a membership but could run into the gym in search of a friend (random person) to use their guest privilege. This is a very popular tactic on the weekend in the morning and could be seen on camera from 9am~. I been to LA Fitness's and 24 hour fitness's in the TRENCHES and they were not as close to low quality as this gym is. I question how much corporate pays attention to this gym and why it still exist. Sometimes in the mens bathroom the sauna smells like someone is baking doodoo in there. Its not coming from no toilet either, this is LA Fitness in Oddtucket Weird Island.

I love the lay out of the gym . But paying $35 a month for a gym that's constantly smelling bad the moment you walk in the door and specially around the dumbbell ranch area (I suggest a deep sanitation clean because it constantly smells like sweaty booty ) . The front desk staff(some ) attitude isn't too welcoming conducting themselves as if they can't leave their bad day out the door before work . The woman's sauna was down for 3months and mechienes being down/ and things falling apart and the lack of urgency to getting them repaired is insane. Considering the magnitude of this gym more Smith mechienes are needed

I had a very disappointing experience with LA Fitness in Pawtucket, RI, and I’m still waiting on a refund. Before signing up, I confirmed multiple times that their Kids Klub could watch my child between 2:00–4:00 PM, which is the only time I can work out due to my night work schedule. I was assured this would not be a problem. The first day, childcare was available. The second day, I was told there was no staff available and they could not accommodate my child—completely contradicting what I was told before joining. Because of this, I immediately canceled my membership. I had to visit the club three separate times just to cancel. I was eventually given a printed form and told to mail it in, and I was explicitly told I would receive a full refund. Instead of a refund, I’m now receiving calls demanding payment. I paid $142, $138.98, and $20, and only used the gym one day due to their failure to provide the service that was promised. This has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I am still waiting for: • A full refund • Confirmation my membership is fully canceled • An end to payment/collection calls I would not recommend signing up here
