Jim's Handyman Home Improvement Service

There are several things i like about Jim. I like paying him by the hour. Even though he's honest, there are many who are not. So, you pay him after he does the work each day he is there. He can't make off with several thousand dollars of unfinished work because he doesn't require pay up front. It's great for my situation. He truly saved us a lot of money by doing it this way. He is not slow, either, at what i saw him do: build a wall, sheetrock, mud, texture, do electrical, hang a door........he's got tools and techniques! I was so overwhelmed by the electrical and for Jim, no big deal. It seemed like a mess and he sorted right through our requests. Another thing i like about Jim is he's happy to have me helping, working alongside him. That way, the project can go even faster- hence, saving money, i can learn more tricks of the trade, i'm intricately involved and motivated cause i have great help, and i'm more open to suggestions as i see the work and issues unfold. It's a win, win. Another thing i like about Jim is he's a hard worker. He wants to work. Period. He does not shy away from work. Has a go-gettum attitude and dives in. He is flexible with your time and will work with your schedule. He keeps in communication and doesn't leave you hanging. I was flexible with him, also, because he did fit me in while working on another project. Much thanks to this man. He put in a lot of effort and care.

Jim was able to come out the same day to hang two ceiling fans in my loft. His attention to detail is impressive! He made sure the electrical boxes were right for my fans and took the time to ensure they were perfectly balanced and worked flawlessly. When Jim came out to my place, he asked me for a list of other things I’d like him to do. Well, I had quite a list of undone honey-dos, so I showed him around. Jim did some much needed caulking and adjustments of several sticky doors, all of which he did an awesome job on. I’m having him back out to hang two more ceiling fans, adjust a few more doors, and re-screen a screen door. He can literally do just about anything!

Jim did a great job for us. We had a variety of small jobs (patching, painting, caulking, and repairing deck damage) and Jim seem quite competent in handling them all. We appreciated him sharing his knowledge and teaching us the way to do different repairs. He always made sure that we were happy with the final outcome. Jim was very reliable and easy to work with. We would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Jim is a good handyman! He is very reliable and great with communication. He was very willing to work with my complicated schedule and got a lot done. Jimv. was very precise in hanging pictures and a few other items. He rebuilt a wall, did the drywall and plaster and it looks really good. He was thoughtful about how to solve problems and was able to figure out a water leakage issue that I had. He came up with a solution that worked well and looks great. I would definitely call Jim again.

Jim was great to work with. I happened to call just as he was finishing another job and so he was able to come right over. We had him mount our TV and mount a large cabinet/shelf above the TV as well as run the cables through the drywall so they wouldn't show. Due to some weird stuff done by previous builders the job took a little longer than we planned, but Jim worked until it was done and even called the next day to make sure everything looked ok and was working properly. He did a great job and was super affordable. Would definitely use him again!
