Im not one that writes bad reviews often but I had a very terrible experience with Goodlife Fitness - starting at this location then going to head office (which I was advised to do). First off the gym itself is fantastic, great staff and lots of different equipment to use and I had a great time working out as well as taking personal training sessions. Without getting to into it I put my membership on hold and received a call back from the gym saying my membership is going to unfreeze. I told the rep who call id like to cancel my membership because I wasn't able to schedule the gym cycle back in my life. Turns out my membership was not cancelled and it resumed for any months... I contacted the gym and spoke with a nice girl who told me unfortunately no managers were in to communicate with me but gave me the 1-800 number for head office and told me a manager would call me when they are in on Monday (todays Tuesday). Head Office in a nutshell told me they are unable to do anything for me except for cancel my membership at no additional cost because they cannot prove that I cancelled my membership (even though there was no activity from after the freeze). As much as I would have loved to receive a full refund from them I wasn't expecting that but I was expecting at least some customer service offering "We'll cancel your payments but have a couple or few free months on us". Its just very disappointing seeing no one try to help once the money is in the bank.. As much as I loved this GoodLife I don't think I'll be signing up because they won't support you if youre in need. Also im still waiting on that call back from the manager at the Burlington Location.

Fun club, super friendly staff, everyone is friendly actually, Quyen is awesome yoga teacher. Everyone loves her! Love going to GLF. Tyson is an amazing trainer. So fun to go, It’s like a big family. And you can be late for classes, they are super understanding of our time constraints and teachers don’t take it personally. Super fun environment. Love it there.

Gym is very clean with plenty of space and enough machines that you really don't have to wait too long to keep the body moving! The new treadmills are fantastic and plentiful. Great overall vibe and a comfortable, accepting and friendly space to keep healthy. Now on to the 'friendly" part. I have been with GoodLife since 2017 and have met many staff members who have come and gone on to other careers. Having said this I need to mention my 4 favourites. I work out at the end of my day and generally (like most of us) appreciate any and all motivation I can get. The desk crew that work when I arrive are THE best. Jaz, Lucie, Nia(apologies if I did not spell that correctly) and Kiawna. These young women are beyond exceptional. They always make me feel motivated and always have big smiles. They make me feel, to be honest, like a celebrity. I have seen all of them have to address tough situations, and some downright disgusting things that some of the less respectful members feel they have the right to do. They handle everything with professionalism and with true grace. As I arrived last week, Kiawna was racing around the gym completely alone and unsupported, covering everything from answering questions at the desk, to collecting used towels, to addressing incoming inquiries on the phone. But she wasn't too busy to give me a smile and ask how I was doing while I was on the treadmill. She is always a welcome sight when I come in for my workout. She is one of the greatest assets that the Burlington C location has. Lucie is always such a ray of sunshine as well. Always has a big smile and friendly greeting when I arrive. She brings an appreciated warmth to the front desk and it is always a pleasure to stop and have a quick chat with her on my way in. Nya. Nya cracks me right up. Her sense of humour is always on point. Her sharp wit and comments make me laugh every single time. The fact that she says my name with a smile the moment I reach the top of the stairs always makes me feel like I am truly a part of something great! Pack a gym with as much of the newest and greatest equipment available on the market today, but it will mean nothing without the people that make the gym more than just a place to work out. Kiawna, Lucie, Nua and Jaz. You are all rocks stars and I appreciate everything you do every day for all of us. You make a GoodLife gym MY GoodLife gym. Thank you so much.

I was denied entry despite being a long-time member because an employee named Lucy, claimed I “didn’t look like” my own account, no manager involved, no professionalism, no policy explanation just personal judgement. Clear lack of judgment. If this is how members are treated at the door, Loyal members should not be subjected to arbitrary identity checks.
