I had a fantastic experience with my movers this March 2026 and wanted to give a huge shoutout to Anthony, Chris, Don, and Denzell. Moving can be incredibly stressful, but this team made the entire process seamless from start to finish. I had to handle the move on my own since my partner was away at a conference, and they truly took so much pressure off my shoulders. They were professional, efficient, and extremely careful with all of my belongings. Because they handled everything so smoothly, I was actually able to relax and enjoy the move instead of worrying about logistics. My new building has a pretty complicated loading dock system, but they were patient and accommodating while navigating it. What really stood out, though, was how they went above and beyond: when we realized an item had been left behind, they even offered to swing back to my previous building during their free time to grab it and drop it off at the new place. I’ve now used this company for three different moves, and every single time it has been seamless. I’m incredibly thankful for Anthony, Chris, Don, and Denzell and all their hard work. I truly can’t recommend them enough!

I've used District Relocators for 4 DMV area moves now, and recommend them to all my friends. Anthony, Don and Mike helped me with my most recent move and they were pros -- fast and experienced. They reassembled my sofa and bed for me at my new apartment and we finished early, even after a delay caused by a mixup with the loading dock. Highly recommend District Relocators!

This was my first time using movers and I cannot recommend District Relocators enough. The entire process was smooth and efficient. The movers were professional and quick, taking great care with my fragile belongings. Even setting up the quote over the phone was a great experience. They answered all of my questions and accommodated my non conventional move (I was moving from DC to NYC, but needed to make two stops in New York to drop off stuff. One in Brooklyn and one in East Village.) I felt like I knew the cost every step of the way, from inventory, to the additional cost for flights of stairs, to even packing services or an additional stop for storage. Also! FYI a flight of stairs is only about 10 steps, NOT the number of floors. Learned that the hard way. (Thank you to Anthony for being so gracious with my mistake). Throughout the entire process, district relocators put me at ease. Exceeded my expectations in every way.

More than three weeks after my move, they still have not provided a proper receipt. Communication with their administrative staff is awful. When I called to request the receipt, they would either hang up on me without explanation, tell me to call back later, or claim they had already sent it (which they absolutely had not). After calling almost every day for weeks, they finally said they had sent the receipt. What they sent was not a receipt—just a screenshot showing a zero balance. When I followed up by phone and email, they initially promised to send the actual receipt that same day, but they never did. The next day, when I called again and mentioned the receipt, they immediately hung up. After that, they stopped answering my calls altogether. As of now, I still have not received a receipt for my move. If you want a smooth, stress-free move and don’t want to deal with disappearing customer service and endless frustration, choose another company. There are far better options out there. I truly regret choosing this one.

I had a smooth experience with District Relocators moving me from DC to NYC. Anthony and Jermaine were friendly, efficient, and communicative. They arrived on time and got my things loaded quickly, they transported them from DC to NYC without issue, and they delivered them to my NYC apartment intact in perfect condition. And they did it all on Jan 1-2. I would give communicating with the office 4 stars. They were friendly and got everything done on time, but with the holiday some things were more stressful than needed. They initially swapped the pickup time, but they corrected before pickup. They also only sent the certificate of insurance required by my NYC building the morning of the move. I think that stuff was due to my move being so close to Christmas and New Year, so I am not holding it against them. Overall they deserve 5 stars.
