Dylan and Alan came and visited with me today to talk about my roof. They were spent 4 lovely, patient hours with me. Both were very understanding of my situation and sat threw my tears. I would recommended dabella to anyone. The representaion they showed about this company, showed hey were highly professional, courteous, on time (if not early). Nearly One Year Later — Incomplete Work, Broken Promises, No Resolution Our experience with Dabella in Boise has now spanned nearly a full year — from March 6, 2025 to February 23, 2026 — and critical portions of our project remain unresolved. We initially hired Dabella for: * A new roof on our home * A new roof on our detached garage * Fascia replacement on both structures * Gutters on our home * Coil wrapping (listed on our loan but never installed) Shortly after, we added: * Gutters on our garage * Siding on both structures The siding was promised for June 2025. It was delivered and left in our driveway, where it remains today. In August 2025, we were notified that the siding loan had been canceled. We had already paid a down payment. No clear explanation has been provided. The siding has never been installed. Early Red Flag After only the house roof was completed — and before the garage roof, fascia, and gutters were finished — I was asked to sign documentation stating the entire project was complete. I stated clearly that it was not complete. Team lead Jonathon Scherr informed me that the roofers would not be paid unless I signed because all work was tied to one loan. I was told they “have families to feed.” I signed under that pressure. Financing was finalized immediately afterward, and we began making payments despite substantial unfinished work. Management Involvement After repeated unanswered calls, I went in person to meet with General Manager Dustin Christensen. During that meeting, I was promised: * A full “do-over” * Proper fascia replacement * Re-roofing where necessary * Replacement gutters * A refund for inconvenience and incomplete services Some problems were resolved after that meeting. However, finishing work and financial discrepancies remain unresolved, and no agreed refund has been issued. The subcontractor involved, Chris Renteria, owner of Ren Lyfe Contracting & Restoration, was present during portions of the corrective work. When finishing concerns were raised, I was told he felt he “couldn’t make me happy.” We were also told at one point that we would be better off hiring another company to complete finishing work we had already paid Dabella to perform. Unresolved Issues Nearly one year later: * Fascia finish work remains incomplete * Wood surrounding the fascia that was damaged during removal has not been repaired * Gutters were improperly measured * A leaf guard issue was documented but never corrected * Siding remains uninstalled * The siding down payment was collected * The siding loan was reportedly canceled without clear explanation * Coil wrapping remains listed on our loan despite never being installed * Communication has stopped entirely The Pattern This is not about a single mistake. It reflects a pattern of: * Pressure to sign completion documents before work was complete * Financing activated prior to full completion * Written commitments only partially fulfilled * Extended silence despite documented follow-up We have maintained detailed records of contracts, financing documents, photographs, and written communications throughout this process. Nearly one year later, this project remains unresolved. If you are considering hiring Dabella, review your financing carefully and do not sign completion paperwork until every item is complete and verified in writing. We are currently reviewing our options and compiling documentation to pursue formal resolution.
