Crunch Fitness - Dixie

This is a fraud organization to soldiers. I have tried to cancel my membership for months and it keeps charging even shows account is inactive. Managers won’t talk to you. Calls and cancelled and location and cooperate and still charging me. Recommend soldiers not use this company and cancel credit card if you leave gym. Next step is to put together class action because I have audio of one employee saying bring it on because we are a big company with lots of money and we will take all yours. She was at the outlook location. She didn’t know because Kentucky is a one party record state. I even have a signed cancellation form emailed from them.

I travel the state of Kentucky for work. I'm in a different city everyday. I get day passes to all different kinds of gyms, big chains and small private gyms. This specific Crunch Fitness let me down. Pretty disappointed to be honest. Every single machine and workout area was dirty. EVERYTHING needs to be detail cleaned. Underneath and around everything was dirty. Dirt. Dust. Hair. Gum. Trash, etc. Restrooms were dirty as well, hadn't been detailed in a while. I was at this location for a couple hours and though I seen several staff members, not one of them were cleaning or even seemed to be worried about the state of the gym floor and restrooms. All of them were just standing around nonchalantly. I've worked as maintenance and in the fitness space (in leadership) and I know exactly how a facility like this should be running and how it should be presented to the members. Not meeting the criteria, not even close. Also, the equipment needs to be upgraded. The ratios for isolation machines was wayyyyy off. Limited attachments. Old. Dirty. Some machines were worn out and loose. This location needs to up its game. Improve staff. Detail clean THE ENTIRE FACILITY!!!! This location has amazing potential. I'll be back in the future to see how it's improving.

I joined Crunch in 2021 when things were opening back up from COVID. Around that time you always saw someone cleaning, but I guess they feel as though there is no need for cleaning anymore since COVID restrictions have been lifted. I've brought the HIIT zone carpet to the attention of at least three employees pointing out how dirty it is over there. The instructors have also said something about the carpet and they too had no success in getting the carpet sanitized and vacuumes. The carpet is still filthy and has been for months with no future cleaning in sight!! It's clear they just don't care knowing most of the time during HIIT class, participants have to lay on or touch the carpet to perform exercises. And that is just the HIIT zone, I didn't even talk about the bathrooms, the amount of dust/dirt on machines, or how weights are always all over the place (that part may not be their fault)!! Not to mention when a machine is broke, it's typically broken for months on end!! For this to be Crunch flagship location in Louisville, it definitely does not get the attention it deserves. Do better Crunch!!

To start off with...my son & I thought we would try it out when they had the penny special for 30 days. We did & loved the facility but the staff are so pushy that we decided not to continue. Well we were told you could freeze your account at anytime so instead of cancelling I thought I would wait to make sure I didn't want to continue & just freeze it for awhile. They continued to try to take money out of my account for two months after I froze it & they were told repeatedly that I froze my account & it continued so I cancelled my account even though I had never signed a contract or anything to have to cancel. Well as of 4 months later they are still trying to take money out of my bank account & using two different names to try to get money after cancelling months ago! Also they have continued to accumulate the amount! It is now over $200 that they try to run through on an average of two- five times within a 24 hour period! I have to keep my bank account locked at all times. This is ridiculous!! They are doing the same thing to my son's account! My suggestion is to definitely go somewhere else!!!

The guy at the front desk was really nice. This is the only reason why they're even getting a star. I was supposed to start with a personal trainer today at 9AMand she wasn't there. I waited 30 minutes and she never showed up. So hopefully I'll get a phone call for a reschedule or I get put with someone different. I will give them a chance and see where it goes. I also got a hydro massage while I waited and noticed that the place isn't really all that clean. But we shall see if things get better. I will keep you all posted.
