As a first-time mom, choosing childcare was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. I’m sharing my experience in hopes it helps other parents navigating similar situations. During my daughter’s time at this center, staff told me they believed she had thrush and stated she would need to be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning. I knew she did not have thrush, but because I had to work the next day, I chose on my own to have her seen by her pediatrician for confirmation. Her doctor examined her and provided written documentation confirming she did not have thrush it was simply milk residue and she was cleared to return. What made the situation especially distressing was how it escalated. I was at work when I was notified and was told I needed to pick her up immediately. I communicated that I was doing everything I could to arrange pickup as quickly as possible. During that conversation, CPS was mentioned if she was not picked up right away. As a working parent without a large support system, that was extremely overwhelming. I understand that centers have policies in place, but the immediate escalation felt disproportionate to the situation. After providing the doctor’s written confirmation that she did not have thrush, I did not receive an apology or acknowledgment regarding the stress the situation caused. That lack of follow-up and accountability from the individual is what ultimately left a lasting negative impression. I had to message the manager to get a meeting called because this isn’t something I could just brush off, I got an apology from the manager, but not even the employee who threatened CPS they took no accountability. Additionally, there were times I needed minor payment date adjustments due to employer pay schedules. I always communicated in advance, but often felt like an inconvenience rather than a parent trying to navigate work and childcare responsibly. I share this not to attack the center, but to highlight the importance of communication, empathy, and balanced decision-making when working with families. As parents, we are already anxious about placing our children in childcare. Support and understanding go a long way.

The owner and staff of Creative Learning Academy are amazing! Each class I visited on my tour from infant to preschool were clean and organized. With staff being attentive and engaged with children. Each staff member I encountered was kind and help with any questions I had. The information provided to me about the school and its operations was clear and detailed. The complete tour and information session was presented in such a way it was easy to see the care and love that has been placed in each area of the business to make sure all feel love and cared for.

We loved our time at creative learning academy. Our daughter went here for about a year (age 4 months to 14 months), and the only reason we switched was because a daycare much closer to us opened up. They were incredibly responsive and we knew how much she was loved and well taken care of. We enthusiastically recommend it to anyone looking for a great place. Special shout out to Miss Akram (her first teacher) and Emma (administrator) who were fantastic.
