Aric was wonderful - honest but not pushy, provided science-backed information, thoughtful, and friendly. Listened to my goals and concerns and provided helpful suggestions. Gave me a wonderful haircut and blowout. Can't wait to come back in a few months.

I had a great experience with Kara at the salon in the Castro for a haircut, which is why I was excited to return and make this my regular spot. Unfortunately, after a negative phone interaction with the man handling administration, I feel differently. I booked a haircut online two days in advance but later realized I had accidentally scheduled it for Tuesday instead of Wednesday. The following day—more than 24 hours before the appointment—I called and left a message through the automated system requesting to reschedule to Wednesday. I called again the next morning (still before the appointment time), reached the same automated system, and left another message asking to reschedule. I eventually received a call back almost at my scheduled appointment time, where I was told I would be charged a 50% late cancellation fee. Despite my multiple attempts to reschedule well in advance, I was met with no understanding or flexibility. During the call, the administrator said, “Imagine showing up to work and your boss tells you that you have an hour off,” which felt dismissive and not applicable to my situation, since I was trying to reschedule—not cancel—and had reached out more than a day beforehand. What stood out most was the lack of empathy during the interaction. At several points, I genuinely wondered whether I was speaking to an AI or a person, which was disappointing given how positive my in-salon experience had been. I would appreciate the salon reconsidering the cancellation fee when someone makes multiple attempts to reschedule. I’d also encourage the salon to review how rescheduling requests through the automated system are handled, as well as how these situations are communicated to returning clients who genuinely want to continue supporting your business. I don't think I'll be returning.

I only trust Aric with my hair for the past three years. It’s incredibly difficult to correctly color Asian black hair to an ash blonde balayage but he does it perfectly every time. Even 4-5 months after, my hair still looks so good that I still get compliments on it. His work is worth every single dollar. If you have been on a hunt for a professional to entrust your hair, I highly recommend going to Aric.

They truly did wonders for my hair! Not so much for my bank account though... Although I am extremely happy with my results, unfortunately the price is way too steep, for me personally 😞 However, if you can afford it they really did do a fantastic job and I love it 🫶

Went in knowing I wanted to start getting my hair back to the natural dark blonde, but wasn't prepared for how stunning and still natural Stella's work would be. My wedding is in just three months and I will ONLY book with her now. So grateful
