I think we have found our HVAC people! Jasmine was such a pleasure to deal with and so accommodating to my schedule. All too. Often companies make you bend to their schedules instead of the opposite, which should be true. She was understanding of the fact that we are in the middle of a move, and have limited time. She made it work. And the tech, Elijah was fantastic. Really knew his stuff, friendly, communicative, and just great! Didn’t try to sell anything. Gave us different options. Even helped me order the proper filter to replace a very dirty one in our new home. Appreciate you, team!!

I cannot say enough great things about C.D. Shanahan’s HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & Remodeling LLC. For the second time in just over a year, they have come to our rescue. Around this same time last year, our 33 year old heating and air conditioning systems were beginning to fail. I reached out to three companies for quotes on replacing both units. My son had recently replaced his systems and strongly recommended C.D. Shanahan’s. Not only did they beat every other price, but they also performed a comprehensive evaluation and provided a detailed breakdown of three options—best, cheaper, and cheapest—so we could make an informed decision. Nearly a year later, we started experiencing strange issues. In mid January, during some of the coldest temperatures this area has seen in decades, our home wouldn’t warm above 67 degrees for three days. Then, just as mysteriously, everything returned to normal. The same thing happened again last week, and again it self corrected after three days. I called C.D. Shanahan’s, and they sent out Brandon Luttrell. This guy was outstanding—friendly, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable. He arrived with several diagnostic tools, including one that measured the pressure in our natural gas line and another that measured the temperature inside the ductwork. Within a short time, he identified two issues and taught me something I had never known about furnace filters: the MERV rating. I had always bought filters randomly, not realizing how much the MERV rating affects airflow. Brandon explained that anything above a MERV 8 can restrict airflow too much for many systems. To prove it, he attached his thermometer to the furnace vent with my MERV 11 filter installed. The temperature shot up to 132 degrees in under a minute. When he removed the filter, it quickly dropped to 117 degrees—exactly where it should be. That overheating was causing the furnace to shut itself off repeatedly during those cold spells. Brandon also discovered a second issue that completely transformed our furnace’s performance. The system had been factory set to Stage One, which pushes air at the lowest pressure. He recommended switching it to Stage Two, and the difference was incredible. We now set the thermostat to 72, and within 10 minutes the furnace cycles off because the house has already reached the set temperature. It feels like a brand new system. Thank you, Brandon, and thank you to everyone at C.D. Shanahan’s. You truly ROCK. P.S. Check the side of your furnace filters for the MERV rating. Stick with MERV 8—your furnace will run better, and your electric and gas bills will thank you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely outstanding service from C.D. Shanahan’s. Armando, Juan, and Elijah were incredible! Armando and Juan from C.D. Shanahan's HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & Remodeling LLC came out right before an impending severe snowstorm and worked in sub-15° weather from 8 AM to 8 PM to uninstall our broken Heat Pump and Air Handler and replace them with a brand new Heat Pump and Air Handler. Simply put: these guys were the best. Incredibly professional, hardworking, and dedicated from start to finish. They didn’t rush a single step. They also helped install a new thermostat, made sure everything was running smoothly, and ran all the necessary tests to ensure the system was operating perfectly before they left. Huge shoutout to Elijah as well!. He took the time to explain everything in detail about the humidifier, thermostat, and Air Handler, and gave us genuinely valuable maintenance tips that made us feel confident moving forward. C.D. Shanahan is probably the best HVAC company you’ve never heard of. If you want a team that shows up, works hard, communicates clearly, and takes real pride in doing the job right. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience with C.D. Shanahan’s Heating & Cooling, and especially with Rick Harris, the advisor who came out to my home. Rick was professional, thorough, and transparent from start to finish. He took the time to explain the system sizing, efficiency options, and—most importantly—provided a clear written estimate that included the exact make and model of the furnace being proposed, along with warranty details and scope of work. That level of clarity matters, and Rick delivered it without pressure or sales tactics. For context, I had a prior inspection with another well-known company that refused to disclose the make and model of the equipment they were quoting, even when asked directly. That experience made it very difficult to compare options or feel confident in what I was being sold. The contrast with Rick and C.D. Shanahan’s couldn’t have been clearer. This company operates with higher standards, transparency, and respect for the homeowner’s ability to make an informed decision. Highly recommend Rick Harris and C.D. Shanahan’s to anyone looking for honest advice, fair pricing, and professional HVAC service.

They could have upsold me when I said I was seeing high CO2 levels in my home. Brandon did a thorough review of my system, finding issues that plumbers from a competitor companies, an energy audit professional, and the house inspector had missed. He addressed the issue and had a strong follow up plan. Troy heard my concerns about placement of a whole house dehumidifier and made changes that I’m very happy with. Dan and Kevin navigated a very challenging ERV install where they were able to innovative in duct placement to make it fit my home while still giving me the access I need. Thank you! I feel in good hands with this team.
