I visited this gym a few months ago when I was looking to try out a new spot to workout. I was actually highly considering a yearly membership with this gym and drove all the way from downtown to check it out, but after I expressed to the manager at the end of the tour that I was under the age of 25, his entire demeanor changed and he said I wasn't allowed the full 7-day trial that I came in for. I was told that the reason those under 25 can't have a trial is because "college students take advantage of the free week," but don't they know not everyone under 25 is in college? Did y'all know that? Or are you new to Earth? I was given only two days to try everything out instead of the 7 advertised online. That's not enough time to test everything they have to offer (which is a lot!) or get a sense of if I'd actually make use of all of their amenities or if I'm better off somewhere a bit cheaper. Also, their memberships are very expensive and come with all sorts of extra fees, so obviously I'd want to make sure I'll actually use the gym and get my money's worth. They charge a random $49/year for "maintenance," as if that isn't their job to begin with. If I wanted to contribute towards maintenance I'd have a home gym. Enrollment fee is over $150. Ridiculous. Like really? $150 so you can watch me type my info into the computer? How about pay me $150 since I'm the one typing it. And then $52/month just to use the gym, plus an entire extra billing if you want to cancel. ATP members are paying the rent for the location, the cost of the machines, and the wages of anyone who works there. Good for the owner! Truly passive income for him. I bet they charge the employees the cost of the machine they use to clock in with. I will never purchase a membership here and I'm going to recommend all of my college friends take advantage of the free week. I'll give my money to Crunch Fitness. Thanks.

A few months ago I would've given this gym 5 stars but not as we get to the end of February 2026. There are a lot of reasons why: 1. The gym can't handle all the new members; it's too crowded. 2. As a result equipment is breaking and not getting fixed. It's been at least a month on the pec fly machine. Fix it. 3. There aren't enough cardio machines. 3 of the 5 good Precor elliptical machines have been broken for at least a month. 4. Why can't they close the doors during aerobics class? I'm tired of listening to the instructors screech their instructions over music that disrupts the rest of the gym. 5. Ban videoing. Why are people allowed to video themselves at peak hours (or at all)? I don't want to be in somebody's video and I shouldn't have to confront them. Haver staff stop it--maybe walk the floor every so often. 6. Walk the floor and tell people to remove their bags. They take up space and it's dangerous. Again, we shouldn't have to police this. Here are some other general complaints: 1. The dumbbell area is too small. Move the racks of fixed barbells in the dumbbell area. Move them to the edge/side and there will be room for two more benches. Or put some dumbbells upstairs. Move the preacher curl bench closer to the fixed barbells and in front of a mirror so I can see myself. Move the Smith machine and create more room for dumbbells/ preacher bench/fixed barbells. Move the Smith machine to the other room downstairs and put it where the rowing machines are and move them to upstairs. Congrats on the new cycling machines. 30 machines couldn't have been cheap. Only problem is it's the same people using them each class. You spent a lot of money to make the same 30+people happy, while the rest of the gym is failing.

The gym itself was fine, but the way the situation was handled felt unprofessional and dismissive. I’m a recent Hopkins graduate staying in Baltimore until next summer, and since I can no longer use the Hopkins gym, Brick Bodies Rotunda caught my attention. I liked their large windows, so I decided to visit on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 5:40 pm. At the front desk, I explained this was my first visit and asked about options such as a free trial, daily pass, or monthly membership. The staff member told me she had no idea about memberships, could not give me even a price range, and said the only thing she could do was sell a daily pass. I paid $30 each for me and my younger brother ($60 total). While we were warming up, within 5 minutes of the purchase and before starting our workout, I found on the Brick Bodies website that they advertise a free trial for newcomers. I went back to the counter and asked if we could switch to the trial instead. She said she didn’t have the authority and that I would need to call a number after Monday at 10 am. She repeated that there was nothing she could do and handed me a business card. Later, I noticed the back of that same card also mentioned free trials for local residents. That made me question why the front desk could not provide basic information or any meaningful assistance. I also wonder if it is fair for a gym to refuse a refund requested within minutes for such a reasonable reason. What stood out most was the way the situation was handled. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it. Instead of acknowledging my concern or offering to report it to her manager, she repeated the same line with an irritated expression, which came across as if I wasn’t understanding her, even though I had explained myself clearly. To me, that was unprofessional. A front desk staff should at least be willing to escalate an issue or provide some assurance that the matter will be followed up, not make the customer feel like they are the problem. After I pointed out that the way she was handling the situation felt unprofessional, her demeanor shifted. She smiled and just listened quietly from that point on, which I did appreciate, but still left a poor impression. As for the gym itself, the free weight area and platforms were solid, though I wished there were more plates on the racks. The Hoist machines were okay but fewer than expected for a gym of this size. Mats and bands were in good condition. The facilities seemed fine, but the unprofessional front desk experience overshadowed my visit and left me questioning whether this is a place worth joining.

One of the best gyms in Baltimore! Joined in 2021 and stuck with it so far. The gym has a lot of space, a ton of machines and weight racks. People at all levels of experience can get a workout and the people are happy to assist whenever needed. David, on the staff, has been so kind and so welcoming for the past 4 years! Highly recommend.

Brick bodies is the BEST! I was so happy to find a gym that not only has all of the amenities I desire in a gym, including tons of equipment and incredible workout classes, but also is so welcoming and comfortable! From the group class instructors to the front desk staff, this gym does not disappoint! David at the front desk is particularly great. He always greets me when I come in and out. The staff here genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied and comfortable.
