Boston Tax and Payroll

After trying to get correspondence from Kim for an entire month via email and phone, I drove an hour through Boston traffic (8 months pregnant) to be on time for an appointment. She then left me waiting for a half hour after arriving only to tell me she couldn’t help me. I explicitly asked her on the phone the day prior if she had everything she needed to help me and to let me know how to better prepare if possible and she said we were all set. In-person at our appointment, she proceeds to tell me all of this could have been handled through email in the first place. Very very poor communication and customer service. FYI- prior positive reviews were built from former owner who very recently sold his business.

My encounter with them was unprofessional, somehow annoying, and a waste of time! Kim Nguyen took my case and promised to prepare an amendment for me in 2 weeks. After that I emailed to follow up but didn't receive a reply. As I called a few times in the following weeks (after the 2 weeks), everytime she was replying Tomorrow I will call you, which never did after any of the phone calls. After 6 weeks, I demanded clarity after she again said Tomorrow I will call you, and she confirmed No action has been done, and added she already called and informed me she would not work on the amendment (she had never called me). In the end, she promised to return my prepayment but unfortunately she didn't perform it. I was totally disappointed and as I informed her this has passed my patience and I would pursue legal action, she immediately returned the prepayment. I feel it could have been more professional if they had just informed me within 2 _3 weeks they would not take my case rather than this hide and seek game for 6 weeks (which might have been going on for more weeks if I hadn't demanded her clarity). They have the right not to take a case, but they don't have a right to hang people there for 6 weeks to inform them and to play a game on paying back the money. It was a frustrating experience for me and I do not recommend this place to my friends.

I had an outstanding experience working with George on my taxes--he seriously cares about his clients and will go the extra mile to ensure their taxes are filed properly. After initially calling George to explain my situation (my 2020 taxes were not filed correctly and I was receiving IRS notifications in the mail), he offered to meet on a weekend afternoon, which was the most convenient time for my schedule. Upon first meeting him in-person, it became clear to me that he prioritized creating a warm, welcoming environment where he could really get to know his clients. Although my taxes were a bit more complicated than we had originally thought, George took the necessary time to fully understand my situation, explaining to me how the IRS was interpreting my previous return. I can now sleep easier knowing my taxes were handled properly! On top of that, he worked with me to provide fair prices for his services, and gave me a quote of the price range *before* we met, which I thought was very transparent. It was obvious from my experience that George deeply cares about his clients, and I will surely be returning to file my taxes with him!

We been working with George now for four years for tax prep, and it's always an easy decision. Super easy to schedule time to meet with him, the tax prep itself never takes long, and he's always quick with the best advice. We were in search for an accountant and George came highly recommended by a friend of mine. After our first meeting last year, we were confident he was the right person for us. He is very attentive and personable. After giving him some insight about our business, he took his time to explain the differences between a LLC vs. INC. so that we could make the best decision. He helped incorporate our business and let us know exactly what steps we needed to take for our new company such as payroll and tax responsibilities. One year later, George has always been a phone call or email away with any questions or concerns and responds promptly. He just completed filing our corporate tax returns and will also file our personal returns in the upcoming week. I’m glad to have finally found someone who is so knowledgeable, efficient and really cares about his clients. I tend to worry when it comes to taxes and George always puts my mind at ease.
