The attention to detail and precision in trendy, well-executed styles really sets them apart. In my experience, they’re the best barber in town — hands down.

I recently moved away, but I felt like I owed a review to Black Orchid and to my barber, Amber, for the last 3.5 years. I truly cannot recommend booking a haircut with Amber enough. She is extremely skilled, and my appointments with her became a consistent part of my routine for years. After just a few visits, she knew exactly what I wanted without having to ask. That kind of consistency and attention to detail is rare, and it is something I really appreciated about her work. She takes real pride in what she does and every cut was on point. On top of that, she is just a great person to be around. I always enjoyed our conversations, and over time it felt less like going to an appointment and more like catching up with a friend. And lastly, Black Orchid as a whole is one of the best barbershops I have been to. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and laid back in the best way. Amber is a big part of that, but Brendan, Niko, and the rest of their talented barbers always provided a fun space to be part of. If you are looking for a spot with real skill and a fun experience, this is it!

He said, "Are you up for something different?" 52yo me hesitantly said yes. Now I have an awesome Fauxhawk!!! Not just a Normal Barber shop. I've done a salon most of my adult life. This compares in quality/talent, at a very reasonable price tag

Amber is one of the best I’ve had cut my hair. I waited until I had a few cuts before posting a review to watch for consistency and she’s the best. Great fade, understands different styles, and has about 10 years in the business.

My teen has thick, long, and hard-to-manage hair, and he’s very particular about how he wants it styled. We heard a lot of great recommendations for Niko in the Carmel group page, so we decided to give him a try. (We’d been going to a different barber but could never get the right cut.) Niko was so kind, knowledgeable, and approachable that my teen felt comfortable and able to trust him. He really took his time with the cut, and it turned out great. We’re definitely coming back! The shop itself isn’t intimidating — it’s clean, welcoming, and easy to book and pay.
