We arrived around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and were able to seat ourselves. They were already out of a lot of things by this time though. No milk for my matcha. No lemon for the tea. There was something else they were out of, but I can’t recall what it was. The space wasn’t very big, but tables turnover quickly. It’s in the bottom of an office building so I was shocked to see a door for a law firm when I went to the restroom. It was clean and bright and they had a cute, floral accent wall for photo opportunities. I enjoyed my meal (stuffed French toast and seafood grits). I paid a little over $40. They are directly across the street from the Hyatt Regency which is where I was staying, so we walked.

First off, if you’re having a hard time finding it, the storefront actually faces Loyola Ave in the Energy Centre building. Now for the good stuff! If you’re not hungry, be warned, the portions are large!! The food quality and flavor is 11/10, staff is 11/10, and the restaurant is super clean! We had the Belle’s Famous French Toast (insane), and the Breakfast PoBoy with potatoes on the side. Both were absolutely delicious!! We even had the opportunity to meet with the chef, and she’s as sweet as the day is long. If you’re not eating here, you should be!

The food, the atmosphere, and the culture were life changing. Every bite felt like it carried intention, and the environment itself had a warmth that made you want to slow down and stay awhile. It’s clear this isn’t just a place that opened its doors, it’s a place built on purpose, passion, and pride. What stood out just as much as the food was the remarkable service. The care, the attentiveness, and the genuine energy from the staff made the experience feel personal rather than routine. You’re not just served, you’re welcomed. There’s a sincerity in the way they engage with you that makes the entire visit feel special. Between the story behind it, the atmosphere it creates, and the level of service you receive, it becomes more than just a stop for a meal. It’s an experience that connects food, culture, and community in a way that leaves a lasting impression.

We went for lunch around noon on a week day. The servers were very chill and friendly and willing to accommodate dietary restrictions (specificly lactose intolerance in my case). The meat lovers omlette was cooked evenly throughout, the inside was mostly bacon and very crispy, the home fries were very crispy and delicious and not drenched in oil which was awesome. The wings are extremely crispy and tasty. My favorite thing was the seasoned fries which are a lot like rally's fries. I did not really like the house sauce for the wings since it tasted like too many things mixed together that didn't really blend well, but it was on the side and the wings were still great without it. The Philly cheesesteak poboy bread could have been a little more toasted but the sandwich as a whole was still excellent. The stuffed French toast had large amounts of toppings and is made with very thick pieces of French bread. The prices are reasonable for the area (so slightly expensive since the CBD is always a little expensive) but the wait for food was pretty short and the restaurant was pleasant to sit in. There was no wait for a table. I think I would be likely to return for their on the go breakfast sandwich options which seem really convenient. The hot latte with oat milk was quick and good. Expect a lot of deep fried foods and cheerful servers. I can't try the benedicts on the menu but they did look really delicious. One thing I hope they change is how they rinse their water cups since there was a lingering smell of soap.
