Aramendia Plumbing, Heating and Air

Aramendia did an outstanding job in finding out my plumbing/sewer clog. I had a problem with the toilet bowl not emptying on my first floor, and when the bathroom sink was turned on, the draining water would also fill the toilet bowl. Aramendia arrived quickly, within an hour or so when I called them, and they checked the sewer line trap access and found it clogged. They successfully worked the clog out and then sent a camera down to inspect. The initial suspect was thought to be roots that grew into the pipe, causing reduced flow. It was not roots, and I can't really explain what it is, but it is in the attached picture. Appears like a black half rubber or plastic disc that was reducing the flow, which had to be something the builder left in the pipe 19 years ago, and after 19 years, it finally clogged up. Apparently, this was a head scratcher as the Aramendia Technician as he could not explain what it was. So now I'll have to get that section pulled out and replaced. I'll be curious to find out what this half-disc thing is. All is functioning now, work was done quickly, the technician was professional and knowledgeable, and I was able to get the follow-on work scheduled the following day. I'm satisfied again with their work. In the past, they installed a pressure relief valve and plumbing/valves for my water softener. Great work and would fully recommend!

Excellent experience with Chris yesterday for HVAC and with Thomas and Art today for plumbing. Very knowledgeable and hard workers. I had to get a new water heater and somehow they were able to install it up in the attic and get it up those folding stairs. I highly recommend them for all your needs.

Our tankless water heater went out and Thomas Puga from Aramendia was fantastic! He really took the time to make sure we understood the entire process. I really appreciated the time he took to make sure the water was the temperature we like and all of the fixtures were where they needed to be. He answered all my questions without me feeling rushed. He was able to call around and get the part we needed locally to save us a week of no hot water. Thank you so much Thomas!

I would like to give a shout out to technicians Marcelo and Selena. I had received a quote to have my duct work taped but when the first technician came he was only informed of one spot. It took him less than 20 minutes and I was charged the entire flat fee of $575. I called to get more detail as to why this was so high. They sent Marcelo and Selena to look at the duct work in my entire house. They found several leaks and went above and beyond to fix. They showed me before and after pictures. I really appreciate that this was made right. I do not blame the first technician as I feel he was only doing what he thought was the scope. I feel this was a fair price to have ALL duct work sealed.

UPDATE: Company called, probably because of my review. They sent out a different technician. He seemed much more knowledgeable. He took a few minutes to look at the system. He turned on the humidification system which I guess should work to keep the mold down. We shall see. He still kind of recommended the UV System. Said he has one in his own house since the old plenum is in the attic. But much better customer service. We scheduled our maintenance appointment to have them come check our AC unit they just installed this past summer. Apparently, there was mold growing inside the unit. Instead of cleaning it, the technician recommended I purchase a UV system. I’m so glad I checked whether we actually needed it or not. I wanted to know why a system so new already had that much mold. The technician told me that it is very common with these units. Really?!? And he told me that the only way to prevent this from happening in the future is to purchase a UV system. I tried asking what the root cause was. He said that these systems just do that. I’m definitely calling to see if someone else can come back to see what we can do. Or I should say what they can do. I’ll update my review depending on how they handle it.
