Doubling down on this locations owners poor customer service and valuing money over members. For context I live between two Anytime fitness locations with the other location being my home gym where I signed up. Last December while at this location, mid workout (actively on the treadmill), I was interrupted/startled (I had headphones in) asked to come to the counter and told that I needed to transfer my membership from my home location to a NEW year long contract at this location. They explained that since I was using this location a lot that they wanted my membership to be paid to them instead of my home location. I told them I would think about it since I still use my home location and it doesn’t make sense signing a new year long contract. Since then I have stopped coming to this location and only started going to my home gym to clarify that that location is indeed my home gym. This morning (two months later of not working out at this location) I tried my key fob and it wouldn’t let me in… I checked my email and spam folder to see if they gave me any heads up and nothing… How does this make sense? The point of having a membership at a franchise gym like Anytime is that you can use the other locations. If it comes down to a technicality of what location I used more, I have clearly used my home gym for the past two months but am somehow being penalized and without warning and now going to be strong armed into signing a contract if I want to use this location? Update reply: Okay now I feel a bit gaslit and you are also making a false claim that I toured this location first and then signed up at a different location for a lower rate. The other location has always been my home gym, and it was also the first Anytime location I visited. I even did a trial month at that location a year or more prior to ever stepping foot in this location. When I spoke to the front desk I explained all this and also that I did not receive any email and I told them I would get back to them about if I would be willing to transfer given I use both gyms they said that would be okay, but now I am locked out of this location. So no, nothing has been clarified and no solution has been made. Do you not see how this is poor customer service? I am a paying customer of Anytime Fitness and I have a contract with my home gym that I visit the most. If y’all are truly following franchise protocol, why is it that I have made it clear that the other location is my home gym, I visited/toured that location first, I did a trial month at that location first and I have been to that location every single week, multiple times a week for the last two months and I have stopped going to this location entirely (the last time I was at this location was December 15th) Do you not see how this does not make sense? “Interruption of access” = now I am not able to use this location at all… ??? This certainly does feel like strong arming and being reprimanded for not switching location contracts when I spoke with the front desk.

I started dating a girl from Old Metairie. Being from Gonzales and having an Anytime membership, I was looking for a great place to get a workout in when im in town. I tried the Anytime location off of Veterans Blvd. I actually left because the environment was gloomy and the equipment was outdated. I then went to the Lakeview location and had a good workout. My experience was still lacking due to the narrow feel of the place and a stale environment. Today I just finished a workout at the Canal St location and I was incredibly fulfilled by the experience. The vast array of machines, equipment, and workout spaces made it very easy to get a prolific workout in. I have been lifting for 12 years and I sincerely recommend this location. Even the natural light coming through the gorgeous windows facing Canal was the cherry on top!

I just want to say the staff Mr. Nick and Ms. Allie was wonderful. They got me started on my fitness journey and excited about my new fitness lifestyle. The atmosphere is secured and quiet and most importantly CLEAN. This is my favorite Anytime Fitness and I would recommend it to anyone. :-)

Joined in 2020, and sadly moving away. The gym staff and trainers have always been incredibly kind and encouraging. They are always helpful in answering questions and seem to make a point to get to know their members. I have appreciated the welcoming environment, and will miss having this place as my local gym!

This is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and spacious Anytime Fitness in the city. Equipment is in great shape also plenty to share!!
