AFC Urgent Care South Philly

Receptionist was Very Professional & Effective with efficiency Judith Wessell NP was Very Effective and Personable. She had command of Medical Options and Communication Skills were Exceptional. I felt at Ease in her presence. She is an example of a great health care professional .

Horrible waist of my copay on a Saturday the doctor kept rambling on about I’m all over the place it’s nothing he can do for me go to my health advocate that’s what he called my primary doctor he wasn’t listening by the time I called my primary doctor on a Friday it was late I had seen my primary earlier in the week so the nurse suggested since I was feeling worse and not better go to Urgent care or Emergency department for a chest X-ray and this man said I’m all over the place also just no compassion empathy he seemed like he was there just to get paid and certain people he was not big on treating properly or at least knowing what to say or better recommendations also I like AFC I never experienced this type of treatment during a weekday when the other doctor is in he is excellent so I don’t want know one to think it’s always like this and not to go there but they don’t always have the same doctor I will never be seen without making sure that particular doctor is not the one seeing patients rest of the staff polite as ever great friendly service

I have gone to this urgent care on several occasions without any issues, except for the last time. Took my mother over the weekend and the doctor did an adequate job medically but made very culturally insensitive comments. When Dr. Mark Robinson first walked in, he looked at my mother and then me and asked "Filipina?" I replied "No, Vietnamese" to which he responded "Well, at least I got Southeast Asian.." In between checking my mother's symptoms, he made comments of where different Asian women ranked on a list of faithfulness and unfaithfulness. He even asked me "Were you born here?" which is absolutely not the time to be asking a question like that with the political climate going on. He prescribed the appropriate meds and we left. I called shortly after leaving and was able to leave a message for a supervisor. It has been almost a week without a call back and when I attempted to call to follow up, I am unable to get through as if I was blocked (never had an issue calling them before). I feel like I don't have a choice other than to leave a review here - I wanted to provide this feedback over the phone in lieu of doing a written review but am unable to get through, and wouldn't have scored so low if I would have been contacted to discuss.

"I was able to make a visit early that morning. The staff was so professional, the space very clean. The bathroom to my surprise amazingly clean. The doctor was amazing. He reminded me of a doctor from a small town who knows his clients and cares for them. It's so rear to see Doctor's like him. Truly a treasure. Great service cannot say anything negative at all."

Hands down the best urgent care in South Philadelphia! The staff was efficient, professional, and incredibly kind from check-in to discharge. I was seen quickly with minimal wait time, and the provider took the time to listen and explain everything clearly. The entire process was smooth, organized, and stress-free. If you’re looking for fast, high-quality care, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
