24 Hour Fitness

My 5 star review is for my training sessions with Kyle “Water” Berger. He is awesome. Very knowledgeable and able to tailor the training to the individual (I can see this not just from his work with me, but seeing him train others in the gym, each person getting a unique workout.) He knows just how hard to push without going too far. I’ ve had great results and recommend him highly. (If I was rating the whole club I would take off some points for cleanliness, as many reviewers have mentioned, especially regarding the men’s locker room).

It takes a lot to make me want to leave a poor review, but I’ve been a member for about 6 months now and the bathrooms are disgusting here, I’m sorry. My hopes were to start going in the morning, shower and then go to work and I’ll just never do it here. The paper towel dispensers scattered around the gym used for sanitizing machines after use are consistently out of stock, the sauna just had the most foul odor to it, and it seems like cleanliness just isn’t a priority for the people who work here. They definitely don’t seem understaffed though which is the weirdest part of it to me. I’m canceling my membership soon to find a better gym to work out at (there’s a fitness place on every other corner in this town, you’d think they’d want to retain people here but it’s just a corporate mindset I guess). It’s only saving grace is that it’s a big enough gym where you can typically find a machine to use without waiting, but lately every other machine is out of order here. I see how packed the parking lot of this place is and imagine how much money 24 rakes in every month from customers, it’s a shame they don’t do more to keep up with cleaning here.

So disgusting. Imagine letting people walk around with no shoes or socks. This is literally a health violation, regardless of the other absolutely disgusting things about this 24 hr. The management says “oh sorry there’s nothing to do about that”. Here is only ONE of the 7 pictures I have of people walking around with their BARE DOGS OUT. Walking on shared floors, shared mats, hallways, bathrooms, equipment, front hall. Imagine taking no pride in your work and being so spineless that you literally can’t take a stand on the most basic HEALTH VIOLATIONS.

Do not sign up for this gym they will scam you out of your money. I went to cancel my membership six months ago and signed cancellation paperwork come to find out they just canceled my Buddy pass, which is free with my membership now why would I cancel something that is free? They continued to bill me for six months. They have no GM or management available that can issue a refund. Corporate is no help as well and tell me there is nothing they can do. Save your money and find another Jim that will not scam you.

EDIT: No i won't spend my time emailing your corporate website. HIRE CLEANERS AND ACTUALLY CLEAN YOUR GYM. Chipped edges at all the bathroom mirrors, dirty tiles all over. This was insane, ive seen the gnarly reviews for awhile but thought, it cant seriously be that, even over years of people reporting the filth online. I just went to check it out myself and was so disgusted, im insulted that grown adults, aka the manager in charge, allows a gym to be open whilst this filthy. Ive been to SO MANY GYMS, and this is the worst. As if they've NEVER mopped once, or sprayed a machine down, ever. There's a layer of some crumbs, old sweat, then dust. There's scratches, marks, all kinds of stuff. Im sure the sauna is the grodiest of all. There were hairballs all over the locker room, barf x 93757272. People should cancel their memberships but i guess they are gross too so they like it.
