HIIT VS. LISS? Does it matter?

I prefer LISS as it’s easier, less taxing on the body and doesn’t affect my gym sessions the next day. HIIT cardio can drive up systemic fatigue and hinder your training. 

If you’re on a time pinch, HIIT is fine. But if I had to chose. LISS all day everyday 🤜🤛

Just save up your cals... If you know you’re gonna f_ck up, plan ahead and save an extra 500 cals each day for 5-6 days so you can consume 2500-3000 extra on the day you want. Simple.

I love how I feel sober. I barely drink alcohol anymore because of how it makes me feel after.

But weed and nicotine…. They have been a daily clutch for a couple years now.

In 2020 I started a sobriety journey where I was completely sober from all drugs and alcohol for 16 months.

It was one of the most productive, transformative times of my adult life. 

I reintroduced partying on the odd occasion but had a handle on it. But at that point I wasn’t using nicotine or weed.

Fast forward a few years and I was taking bodybuilding really seriously. 

Nicotine was great because in a prep, you’re not hungry when you’ve got a zyn in your mouth.

And weed… great for passing time and getting a better sleep when you’re on tren… 

Tbh I love being high. It’s so relaxing and food tastes better, among other things. 

BUT

I’ve always said that there’s nothing wrong with having a vice if it doesn’t hinder your success. And it hasn’t until now. 

My goals now are bigger. The pressure is greater. And the stakes are higher. 

In the next couple of years I’m going to be a dad. And I am 💯 sure I’m gonna fucking crush at that because I know what kind of dad I don’t want to be.

But this kind of new chapter takes some preparing for. So I am doubling down on my business and setting my wife and I up for success now. 

And vices that hold me back are not included.

I think it’s important as a man to be self reflective. To audit yourself to make sure you’re operating at a high level. 

You should set crazy goals. You should be stressed at times. And you should want more from yourself and those around you.

Hold yourself to a higher standard if you want other people to look up to you too. 

My habits didn’t match my goals. But they do now.

A large component of why I competed in bodybuilding  shows was because I thought that turning pro was the golden ticket to getting more clients as a coach, but it’s not.

Yes it helps for credibility.

But having a pro card In my opinion just means you compete against better opponents and have to run more gear to be competitive. 

I do think it’s advantageous if you walk the walk and compete at least once (and coach yourself) if you want to be a good coach, because being in prep is a mind game. 

If you haven’t experienced what it feels like to dig deep and suffer in prep, it’s going to make it hard to understand your client and empathise with them to a degree too. 

It’s going to be tough not competing again, as it’s something I loved to do. But it takes to much of my time, energy and focus away from other aspects of my life that I’m never going to be able to experience again at this age.

My focus now is to be the best coach I can, the best husband I can and someday in this chapter, be the best dad I can too. 

I’m always going to train, because I love it and because if I don’t I’m a mess. But I’m not going to compete anymore, I’m content.

4 weeks post nose surgery - physique update.

Things went well with the surgery and I can breathe, taste and smell again so I am very happy. It’s still a bit swollen but it’s a process and I can’t thank drnoeherreraoficial enough for what he did. 

If you struggle with breathing or have anything you want changed with your nose, Dr. Noe is amazing. Recommend 💯 

Current cycle: 

-250mg test C (36mg Daily)
-300mg Equipoise (43mg Daily)
-8iu GENERIC somatropin (same insulin pin as test + EQ)

Keeping it as low as I can to see what body recomp outcomes I can achieve without blasting. I’ll most likely just get in shape (maintenence) for a while and recomp then when I’m lean enough I’ll start a growth cycle and push doses higher.

Liam is a father and business owner who was sick of feeling sluggish and unconfident. He came to me with the goal of losing the body fat and getting in shape so he could show up better for his son and perform better at his job.

In my early 20’s I was a frequent drug user, I drank a lot too. I partied way more than I should and didn’t make the progress I could have either. 

I sometimes wonder just how far I could have gone with bodybuilding if I’d given it more dedication, but I’m happy with what I achieved while taking it serious for the last 3 years. 

In saying that, I don’t regret anything. My path has brought me to where I am now and I love my life. I have a beautiful wife natti_wellness, a nice house filled with animals and I’ve never been happier.

I have fitness/bodybuilding to thank for all that. Training has always been the glue for me in hard times. It’s an outlet, a release, therapy and a challenge. 

The career side of this for me is my favourite part. Helping other men be more confident and achieve their dream body makes me so fulfilled and I absolutely love what I do.

🤷🏽‍♂️Sick of “bulking” and getting fat? My clients don’t get fat when growing...

scotty_martin10 had done multiple “bulks” and added too much fat in the past. He has a very physical job and works long hours so he was sceptical that I’d be able to get him the results he wanted BUT He was tired of watching the scale go up while confidence went down so he came to me for help. This is how we achieved his results..

💪🏽 We set non-negotiables:

✅ His diet matched to his training (enough to grow but not to much that he got fat)

✅ Periodisation & Progressive overload with his training - he logged every session in my coaching app so he knew the numbers he needed to beat each week. 

✅ NO CARDIO - Scott has an active job so we relied on step count as his output metric to stay lean as we grew muscle. 

✅ Sleep, hydration & supplementation - All tracked and optimised
