![The joy of finally organizing my clothes again… I could cry. Actually, I did cry. Tears of joy, sweat, and maybe mild panic.
I didn’t even bother sampling paint colors — I was deep in the “just get it done” mindset. Miraculously, it turned out perfect 🙌
My husband is thrilled to have a functioning closet again. And the biggest win? We no longer have clothes shoved in every corner of our bedroom like raccoons live here 🫠

I hammered these all around the house and was able to get all the kids’ sports bag hanging and tucked away where I don’t have to see them. Ladders, towels you name it. They are off the floor.

I found this to be the easiest way to fill them. I use these all the time to repair drywall so I was thrilled that it worked really well for these cabinets as well. ![For those that asked, here is a more detail video of how I am building this closet. IKEA’s Pax system is the base and I love all the storage options it offers. Then I am customizing it work trim work and drawer fronts to take it to the next level. I am currently prepping the cabinets for prime and paint next. Can’t wait to have a functional closet.

![Planned my first trip for us in 16 years together, and Nuno fully embraced his passenger princess era 👸. The kids even said I should plan more (top 3 trip ranking 🏆👏). I now humbly accept the praise… and kindly request to resume my passenger princess throne 😁.
Such a fun adventure with a bit of everything: big city vibes, small-town charm, forests, mountains, and waterfall swims. 10/10 recommend!
Itinerary, in case you’re curious:
• Day 1: Landed in Boston
• Day 2: Breakfast at Tatte, Freedom Trail, Harvard campus, MIT museum, Newbury St, first lobster roll at Lobstah-on-a-Roll
• Day 3: Breakfast at Flour Bakery, drove to White Mountains (with a Portsmouth lunch stop), glamping at Lumen Nature Retreat
• Day 4: Waterfall hikes + swims (Ellis Falls, Diana’s Bath, Sabbaday Falls); dinner + s’mores at the campsite
• Day 5: Drove to Bar Harbor, lobster roll snack at Bar Harbor Lobster Pound, dinner at Side Street Café, explored town
• Day 6: Boys did a fishing tour (caught 19 mackerels!), my daughter and I walked the sandbar at low tide; family hike up Acadia Mountain (Great Head Trail—yes, we got lost 😅), dinner at The Travelin’ Lobster, foggy Cadillac sunset attempt, blueberry soft serve at CJ’s Ice Cream Shop
• Day 7: Drove up Cadillac Mountain in the morning, then back toward Boston with a Portland stop—clam chowder at Gilbert’s Chowder House + visit to Portland Head Light
• Day 8: Breakfast at Tatte, walk to Brattle Bookshop, swan boat ride in the park, airport ✈️]()

![45 grams of protein! Almost halfway there if your goal is 100 grams like me.
Air Fryer Tofu Recipe:
1. Pat the tofu dry with a paper towel
2. Cut the tofu in cubes.
3. Toss them in a corn starch mix with salt and pepper. Make sure it is well coated.
4. Spray some oil on the cubes and put them in the air fryer. I had it on 350 for about 15 minutes.
5. While the tofu is in the air fryer, mince garlic, scallions and red peppers (optional)
6. Sauté the garlic, scallions and red peppers with a little oil. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
7. Once the tofu is done and crispy, add it to the pan with the sauté garlic, scallions and peppers.
You can serve it as a snack or as the protein for a rice bowl. Super simple and easy.

![Part 2 - cabinets are put together, secured to the walls and drawers/dividers have been put in. Next up is to add trim, fill holes, build drawer fronts, add base trims & crown molding. The goal is to make it look like a custom build closet. And paint of course for the finishing touch. Oh almost forgot I still need to build a shoe cabinet 😅. Plenty left to do but it is coming along nicely. I can’t wait for the final reveal.
