![My discovery of Chrome Hearts was of natural intrigue. In the world of material craftsmanship, leather and silver had always been favorites of mine, so upon my introduction to the brand, I was immediately enthralled by the marriage of these materials with their highly detailed gothic designs. Naturally my focus stayed on the vintage side, as I found myself revisiting designs and looks from the 90s, when the brands rock and roll aesthetic was adorned by the likes of Billy Idol, Cher and Lenny Kravitz.
It’s only been recently that I’ve been indulging and collecting from other sides of the brand. Chrome Hearts is responsible for the most expensive pairs of pants money can buy today, their leather patch trousers can sell for up to $50,000 secondhand, and while these trousers have been around for a while and are more popular than ever, they never truly intrigued me as much, but as time has passed, even I’ve given in to the hype. When planning this video, I wanted to follow not only the story of the brand, but also my own exploration.
The beginning of the video represents that initial discovery, the haziness as you begin, wrists encased in silver, the body engulfed in leather, the hand reaching for the beginning, that desire for the origin. Then we are in the present, this is how you see Chrome Hearts today, still for the rockstars of the world but a new kind, rappers, entertainers, and just folks with bread to blow. We slow down for a second, exploring Chrome Hearts in some of my favorite ways. The “Chrome Cowboy”, a western inspired look that trades the suede and pearl snap for leather, and an avant-garde collaboration with Rick Owens supported by another favorite leather artisan, Carol Christian Poell. The trio, two full black looks of different material, sharing the frame besides of my first ever chrome hearts jacket,the piece responsible for the two beside it.
We finish with a look which encapsulates that rock and roll energy and gothic design, but infused with Wisdom Kaye, what that means exactly I have no idea.

![The Razorbill
Last week the Razorbill bird went viral and I challenged myself to make a look that captures different aspects of the bird.
The first version is meant to be a full body interpretation of the bird, with the goal to create the physical appearance as accurately as I can. This look features pieces from dionlee rickowensonline and louisgabrielnouchi
The second version is inspired more from the head of the bird with a scarf used to create the similar white line that’s present from the birds eyes. The shape and overall composition is to convey that sleek and powerful presence that images of this bird elicit.
The third look shares a similar base to V1, but with a different cloak. The head is comprised of a Ralph Lauren turtleneck which sits below the string of an Ann Demeulemeester sleeve piece, all covered by a sheer Margiela face mask. This was the first version that was made, I didn’t like it so much at first but it grew on me.
