Do you stretch before and after your workout? 

How I approach my health and fitness journey has changed over the years. I want to continue to feel energetic and move with ease. Don’t get me wrong I have the occasional aches and I still get sore. However,  incorporating more flexibility & mobility movements keeps me confident and thriving. 

Here are a few Tips to Boost Flexibility & Mobility as We Age

1️⃣ Make it Functional

Think beyond stretching add movements that mirror real life, like squats, lunges, or twisting reaches. This supports everyday activities like carrying groceries, bending to pick things up, or lifting a suitcase when traveling.

2️⃣ Prioritize Daily Mobility

Short, consistent sessions (5–10 minutes) of dynamic stretches or yoga flows go a long way. Mobility keeps joints lubricated, reduces stiffness, and makes exercise feel smoother and safer.

3️⃣ Support Hormonal Shifts

During perimenopause and menopause, estrogen changes can affect joint health and recovery. Mobility and flexibility work ease stiffness, improve circulation, and support overall energy. Helping you feel more capable and confident in daily movement.
