![Dubai is hot AF. I spent the weekend popping in and out of air conditioned places trying to see some things and not die of heat exhaustion. This lovely little place is a more modern recreation of the Old Dubai souks. But how about that view of the Burj Al Arab, the only 7 star hotel in the world! The cheapest suite is $1,000 USD per night and if you want to stay in the Royal Suite, it will cost you $24,000 USD per night. ![My heart is with Christchurch this weekend. Although I haven’t been for many years, the charm and people of this beautiful city were part of the reason I fell head over heels in love with New Zealand. During my visit, I was welcomed by local residents into their home, where we shared stories of our lives over a delicious home cooked meal. The generosity and kindness of this couple blew me away and I knew I’d made a connection that would last forever. First the earthquakes and now these attacks... my heart hurts for this city. I know this amazing city is strong and resilient and will come out on top. But it shouldn’t have to. When will this craziness end? I’m so sick of it. Can’t we all just get along!?
