![No crowds & the best views 😍 Welcome to the most beautiful section of the Great Wall of China 🍃
📍 Jinshanling
But why is this section so empty while others are extremely crowded all day long ? 🤔
🚗 distance: Jinshanling is 2 hrs away from Beijing (we hired a driver) - most tours take you to the closer & crowded section 1:15 hrs from the city center
🥾 access: a bit of hiking is required to access the wall at Jinshanling - it took us around 25 minutes. Another reason for tour operators & visitors NOT to choose this section of the wall
🔨 maintenance: many parts & steps of the Great Wall at Jinshanling aren’t perfectly maintained - but for me this just adds to the charm 😍
➡️ THE RESULT: Experience the Great Wall of China without any crowds - all day long! No need to get up for sunrise 🤗
Words can’t describe the feeling of experiencing this Wonder of the World all alone 🥹 I felt like we were in an adventure movie! 🎥

![Want the Great Wall of China all to yourself? 🤯
No sunrise alarm required. No tourist crowds. Just you + one of the most iconic sights on earth.
The Great Wall is HUGE & there are many accessible parts:
📍 Skip the famous & crowded Badaling and head to Jinshanling instead – it’s further from Beijing (about 2 hrs by private car, no bus access), but so worth it.
⏰ Ticket counter closes at 5 pm, but here’s the secret: once inside, you can stay as long as you like and leave any time. That means you can catch both sunrise and sunset – the only spot on the Great Wall where that’s possible.
