Life with you is the perfect balance of working our asses off, but also having so much fun. You make me laugh, you keep me on my toes, and you somehow manage to make me fall for you harder every single year.

Ironman 70.3 Salem in the 📚 and it could not have been a better weekend. Signed up for this immediately after doing the Vegas Marathon.. did a 5 month prep.. set a goal time of 7 hours and absolutely SMASHED it.

Splits:
🏊Swim: 21:17
T1: 8:40
🚴Bike: 2:58:34
T2: 9:57
🏃Run: 2:08:56

Final time: 5:47:22

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about why I’m doing this.. and the answer is simply because I want to prove I can. I’ve always been a weight lifter and I’m proud of the physique I’ve built, but I needed something new. I was losing motivation in the gym and decided to set a goal that scared me. That goal is to become an Ironman. Considering I had zero background in swimming or biking, but it was still fitness related, it seemed perfect (and terrifying.) Fast forward to now, I’ve done 2 Olympic tris, 1 marathon and now, a half Ironman. Full Ironman coming in 2026😏 2025-07-27 23:56:02 .. 15,264 +472% 178 +303%

Winter dump🏂🤠💻🐶👶🚴

Oddly enough, one of the most painful yet most enjoyable winters of my life. Said goodbye to my baby/best friend of 11 years and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done… but was lucky enough to have my amazing gf to help me through it. We then welcomed a new best friend into our lives named Smoke (yes we’re keeping him). We traveled. Got better at snowboarding. Had lots of stressful and exciting moments in work. Worked out a ton. Got to take my dad to watch our Buckeyes win the natty (which I truly believe Brutus had a hand in to help me be happier). Shoulder Press Do’s & Dont’s🔥

Tip #1:
Elbows angled forward puts the shoulder joint in a more biomechanically efficient position, creates a stronger pressing position and allows more range of motion.

Tip #2:
Fully extending your arms at the top of the rep helps improve overhead stability, protects your lower back and keeps you stacked vertically which is a mechanically stronger position.

Tip #3:
Eliminating momentum at the bottom of the rep increases muscle activation, builds true strength and reduces risk of injury.

Fix these and your shoulders will grow faster. I guarantee it💪

Hip strength reduces knee pain, IT band syndrome, low back pain and ankle instability… it also improves running, biking, jumping and lifting. It’s something I neglected for years so now im playing catch up. You should do the same.

Form Cues:
- Slight bend in the standing leg (don’t lock out the knee)
- Keep a neutral spine & brace your core
- Squeeze your glute to lift your leg and focus on opening and closing your hips
- Work through full ROM
