![5 years ago I ran the NYC Marathon for my mom. I was raising funds for multiple sclerosis which is something she battles with everyday. Completing that marathon healed me in so many ways and brought my mom and I even closer.
And to be honest I didn’t see myself ever running again. I felt like I had done my big one with that lol.
Over the past five years my life has changed so much. Mostly for the better. I started my career online. I graduated college. I came out and so many more amazing things happened.
But over the past five years I’ve struggled to find a way to stay fit. I missed running. I missed movement. So when runna asked me if I wanted to train for the Berlin marathon I didn’t even hesitate to say yes.
I was going to run this for me.
I was scared of how I would train for this race with this new lifestyle I have now. I’m never in the same place for a long time. So how was I going to keep up with running?
