![Almost a year ago we answered a call for help about 3 newborn squirrels that had fallen from their nest from a windstorm. A neighbor’s cat gently brought them to her. Bonnie was the only one who survived. Here’s her story that we posted on tiktok a while back. ![So if you missed the last post go back & see it real quick so you know what’s going on here. 😻
BuBBa (BB’s lil brother we are adopting…yay) was joined by his litter mates who we’ll be fostering until they’re ready for adoption. All blue eyed babies!! One girl, one boy. Last photo is of BB’s sister (she and BB are 2 of the outdoor cats who adopted the humans at the family business about a year and a half old now).
We will be looking to adopt out Sissy & Tré as a bonded pair through a local area rescue (to be announced) and BB & Bubba’s mama (along with many other country cat mamas who just had babies even more recently) will be spayed.

Pictured: BB & lil bro (Mama won’t get close enough for pics)
On 3/12, when Mama posted about the shop cat BB that so many of you fell in love with (along with Mama whose heart he stole the day she met him), nobody had a clue that BB’s mama (who has evaded trapping efforts in the past) was even pregnant let alone would give birth to a lil BB clone just 11 days later. There are at least 2 siblings also. All kittens will be fully vetted, spay/neutered, and adopted & then adults TNR’d ……
So what does this mean for BB’s lil mini me and our household who hasn’t adopted a kitty since totally_tater ???
Stay tuned and check back….so much more to this story and, the country cats at Mimi & PawPaw’s farmhouse where more babies were born since Easter. Mimi & Pawpaw have done an amazing job doing TNR with the majority of the kitties at the shop and farm but there are a few that are expert level at evading the traps (will try again once babies are weaned). Mama & Justin (mama’s significant other), with the help of Mimi & PawPaw have lots of fostering and TNR to do in the coming weeks.

![The last few weeks have been a juggling act like no other so I’m sorry to only announce this now but we lost our sweet girl halotheblindshiba on 12/11. I’m in the process of making a tribute video to post but felt at least I should share the news.
It was unexpected but my ex-husband and my 2 kids who live here in Georgia were all able to drop what we were doing to come together to be there loving on her as she peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge.
I’ll make a more complete post on her life soon to honor her and explain more.

![Blowing a friendly kiss of love & appreciation to every single one of you! I haven’t had a lot of time to reply to comments from my last 2 posts both on Facebook & here because I’ve been working two jobs, but I want you to know, I have read every single one and I’m so touched by the kindness, encouragement, & understanding you’ve shown, as well as those of you who shared w/ me that my openness has really helped you! It was more important to me to show you that things are not always what they seem behind all the accounts you follow so if you are going through something tough, that you know a lot of us are too so you don’t look at these accounts like we have amazing lives with no mess. Sometimes it’s messier than you think behind the scenes, and I needed everyone to know they are not alone.
Those of you who have been following Venus for the past 11 years know that I have rarely shown my face and mostly that’s because I want to keep it all about Venus & am a little on the shy side (introverted extrovert) but as I work through this chapter, and decided to share my personal struggles, I felt this makes it more personal. I don’t even have a personal Instagram and never have, only my pet accounts.
I also hardly ever take selfie’s but on my way to work yesterday I felt this would be a nice way to show my love & appreciation (and no, no filter or editing…this is the natural lighting in my vehicle with the sunroof shade open lol).
Anyway, thank you all so much again and please continue to support each other in the comments if you see someone who could use some words of encouragement. We are a community, and it takes a village, even if that village is online. You never know how one comment might just change that person’s day!
I feel so blessed to have this community of people. Each & everyone of you are important enough for me to open up & share these things in the hopes that it helps many of you.
