- So, this was our first day in Patagonia, and we were super excited! We landed right away and headed straight to the Perito Moreno glacier. Now, here’s the thing - we had this last-minute idea to go kayaking next to the glacier. It was a total spontaneous decision, but it turned out to be an amazing experience! When we got on the water, the water was mostly calm with a gentle breeze. But as we got closer to the glacier, the waves started to get bigger and bigger. They were like waves on the ocean, and they were so powerful that you could feel the spray from the freezing cold water on your face. It was a bit unsettling at first, but our guide was super experienced and guided us through the treacherous waters. He even told us that there was a good chance we might tip our kayak, but we managed to stay upright all the way to the end. He was really impressed with our skills! Oh, and did you know that Patagonia is actually in Argentina? I had no idea!
